Characters: Yuri Lowell & Open
Where: Various Locations
When: December 1st - End of December
Summary: Yuri wakes up from the Crystal Stasis and wanders and does what he does daily. There isn't anything special, but there will be interesting responses depending on how he is approached.

[ Yuri found himself awake and sitting up, groggy and a bit stiff due to being in the Crystal Stasis. It took him a moment to realize where he was and that his home was nowhere to be seen. Instead, he was met with the repugnant smell of Hospital Cleanliness. He runs a hand through his messy locks of hair and noticed his sword was at the side of his bed along with Acrisius who was sleeping peacefully at the edge of his bed. The damn furball sure made a guy sentimental. Yuri reached a hand over and petted the moogle on the head as a greeting. ]
Looks like I worried you there, Acrisius.
[ He replied with a brief smile. ]
Woof!
[ Yuri turned around to greet his old friend when he heard a bark, placing his hand on the dog's head as well. ]
Sounds like you've been taken care of in my absence eh? Good to see you're alright Repede. Maybe I should cook you something as compensation for the worry.

[ As soon as he got back up, Yuri was out doing things again and that included monster hunting alongside his trusty companion. He had suspected that Repede had lost his artes abilities, thus leaving the dog to raw old skills. That meant that he would have to train together with Repede so he would get used to fighting normally. He even gave Repede a knife he had procured a while ago as a gift to the dog.
The dog barks triumphantly as he circles around a monster and slashes its throat, followed by Yuri finishing it off in a matter of seconds. Repede had a few scratches on him but the dog didn't look too worn out. In fact, he might have been happy he was able to do something. It took them a good few hours for Repede to adjust to not having his artes and being subjected to his own raw power. Yuri had to figure out a way to resolve that problem for his dog.
Though, it wasn't like he could use his artes here anyway either. ]
Good job Repede! Now we're getting somewhere.

[ Yuri was seen in the main area, carrying a bag of groceries and a large dog following him step in step. The large dog appeared to be pretty didgnified as it walked aside it's partner. Somehow, Yuri was even more happy than not to have Repede around. It made things a lot more interesting, even though there were occasions since he got back that he had to chase Repede down because the darn dog was running all over the place. Nevertheless, Yuri was having tons of fun with his dog and there's a stupid grin on his face for it. ]
Well, looks like we'll have to give the old man a visit sometime soon. I wonder if he knew you were here. Then again, who took care of you when I was out anyway? I never did ask that question.

[ Yuri could be seen eating Mabo Curry with Repede eating at the foot of his chair as well. He seemed happy to have human food and he didn't seem to be letting up on being spoiled by Yuri as he ordered another exotic amount of food for the both of them. Being in the Crystal was depressing and he didn't want to think about it. He wondered if he worried anyone, though he doubted anyone would be too over reactive.
However, how mistaken he was to assume such. Either way, he was enjoying a typical day and a typical meal after his long break in the Crystal Stasis. ]

"You were in the military?" she furrowed her brow, surprised. She knew such an order existed, since she'd read Raven's file and was aware that the older man had served as a captain. But Yuri, an officer? It was difficult to imagine a man like him following anyone's orders but his own. She squinted at him, trying to imagine it. But she failed.
"It's difficult to see you as the military type," she admitted, but he certainly piqued her curiosity. "How old is he now?" Probably only a few years, she'd wager, if only because Yuri was young and couldn't have joined the military himself for more than a few years.
no subject
"Did I say that?" he replied. No, he really didn't but the way he explained Repede probably made her think about him being someone in the military. Funny thing, he joined the military to partially follow the footsteps of Flynn's father, who had passed away. Unfortunately, Yuri had never been one to listen to orders and Rukia was right on that part. He was always disobedient and often forced to sleep out in the stables with the dogs.
"You got that right. It wasn't the life for me so I quit," he replied dismissively, "It's been a while, so he's probably three or four years old. Maybe just a tad bit older than that."
Yuri didn't really pay attention but either way, it brought back memories about Niren that he would rather put in the back of his mind.

Which reminded her...
"I have good news for you," she piped up, looking pleased with herself. "Your companion Flynn awoke while you were in stasis. I believe he was borrowing your room for a while, so you may see him when you return home."
She was sure that would put a grin on his face if nothing else would. It felt as if there were a tiny shift in his mood when he spoke of his past. Though she wanted to know more about it, and the conversation seemed to be leaning in that direction, she wasn't about to go kicking down any doors he wanted to remain closed.

Yuri replied shrugging. Well, let's just say he probably should have cut his hair but that wasn't the reason at all, "Nah, it's not something simple like that. The military's just not the type of place I'd like to be at. I can't deal with following blind orders, you know?"
He replied with brief shrug. Yuri raised a brow when he heard Flynn's name and for crying out loud, did the guy have to sleep in his room? He's going to hear Flynn either mock or complain about the slight mess he had in it. He's ruffles his hair a bit.
"I guess he'll be coming here soon enough or sending his moogle to me soon enough."
He muses. Well either, way he's going to hear from Flynn. Rukia was a smart girl and Yuri appreciated that she knew better than to question too much on the topic. Yuri's military lifestyle was never his thing to begin with. He didn't want to sit idle and wait for orders to save other people or do something that he knew was the right thing to do.

And she'd nearly been executed because of that.
THANKS, AIZENBAMA."You're more of a leader type than a follower in any case," she gestured, slanting a little grin his way. "What made you decide to start a guild, though? I'm curious." Raven's file didn't detail much about Brave Vesperia, except that the group had told him they decided if he lived or died, and he'd accepted that condition. Beyond that, she didn't know how it got started, or why, or even that Karol was pretty much the boss.

He liked her spunk and attitude, even if she almost tried to kill him with a kick and some misunderstandings. Yuri wouldn't take well to that since he didn't see Rukia as the type of person that should be executed.
"I guess you got a point there," he shrugged, not denying Rukia's words. She might be right, honestly. He wanted to do things the right way and sitting around twiddling his thumbs was not what he wanted to do. On top of that, he never left anyone in need on their own. He would take action way before that.
"I didn't start it as much as joined it, if that makes sense," he replied with a blink from his side. Yuri didn't go into too much detail but he would tell her the basics, "Another little guy from my world, he's more of the one that leads it. That's why I'm trying not to get too involved."
Though honestly, Yuri liked doing things the Brave Vesperia way. It made him feel much better and things felt more complete. He wasn't the kind of person like Flynn who would follow orders to some extent for his goals.
no subject
Still, who knew? Maybe they did. Most people weren't aware of soul reapers in any case.
She didn't expect that Yuri had joined the guild. And it was led by 'a little guy'? A child, perhaps? Or someone vertically challenged, like herself? "After that announcement you made concerning Raven and lending out his services, I assumed you were the leader. Does that mean he has the same authority to dispatch you to certain places?"
Because that could be

Yuri doesn't think that there's stuff like that in his world. People just die and they die. He hasn't seen any fancy other worlds for them after death, considering he has kissed death so many times and has yet to die. The guild followed its own rules, regulations and deemed whatever they feel is right. Thus, it was easier for Yuri to work with Brave Vesperia and b part of it than some other guild or the military for the matter.
"Just filling in until the guy finds his way here. I sure hope he doesn't, but who knows? Raven ended up here and Flynn has the worst luck, and here I am as well."
If Flynn's luck was bad, Yuri's was the worst.
"Something like that. Like I said, I do what I want, so even he can't really order me around unless I agree with it."
no subject
Really, really happy.
"Ah, well. If he's a good leader, I'm certain he wouldn't abuse his position to give unwanted or uncomfortable orders." Rukia folded her arms thoughtfully. "I was rather surprised myself when a couple of people from my world appeared here as well. I know I shouldn't be, but..." Her shoulders hitched. "How many others were a part of your guild, anyway?"
no subject
"We'll talk properly later," he replied with a nod of his head to her words. She seemed so happy.
"That's about right. He's pretty good at doing what he feels is right and I'm not too worried about him giving me unfair treatment."
He replies with a shrug of his shoulder, "There's quite a few of us. Can't count them all on my fingers but it was a pretty big party."
no subject
But back to the talk of guilds, since she was curious to know more about Yuri as well. "Is that so? I wonder who else will show up, then. It seems like they're all trickling in one by one, doesn't it?" First Raven, then Repede (although Yuri asked for him specifically), then Flynn. Surely the others would join in time.
"I joined a guild here myself, shortly after I arrived. I'm not sure I qualify as a member right now, however. The ability to use magic seems to be the big requirement." She got a magic tattoo and everything, but so far, the guild hadn't really done all that much. "Unless ghostbusting is considered 'magic.' It seems based more on technology." But that was neither here nor there. They were going to eat lunch. "What were the requirements to join Brave Vesperia?"
no subject
"Seems that way. I could always introduce you to them if I run into them, or if Repede finds him. Honestly, it's not that hard. Those guys are pretty tough so I don't doubt their abilities to defend themselves until then."
He replied. Yuri spoke fondly of them, as Rukia could see. As much as he was a lone wold, he rather got used to having friends and having them care about him. It's foreign to some extent but he's learned to accept it. They're the reason he made it so far as well. Of course, it's those little things that change a person, after all. While he didn't seem like he valued his friends, he was always seen doing something to prove otherwise.
"Sounds like fun. You should enjoy it," he replied with a grin, "Guilds are kind of fun when you're doing things you like in it."
He replied, while listening to her, "Seems like they're stuck huh? Well, you can always come here if you want. Brave Vesperia's opened to those who want to join. Not that we'll really officially state our guild anyway. I'd rather not have watching eyes on us, if you understand where i'm coming from."
no subject
Honestly, she couldn't imagine that the boundaries of either guild would ever cross, but if there were formalities to be considered, she had best remain respectful to Levy and...well...either Karol or Yuri.
Although the thought of Yuri giving her commands seemed more than a little strange.
no subject
He replied giving he a once over for her for the question. He can’t say they have a lot of regulations. Their guild is special and not official in this world at least. His world, well it’s as official as it can get anyway. Whatever makes things easier for Rukia. Yuri isn’t out to make her part of the guild if she feels uncomfortable but he will not hesitate to let her if she wants to join either.
It was but he wouldn't be the type to make her do things against her will at the very least.
no subject
"Well, then. Why not? I'd be honored to join, if you're all willing to have me," she smiled. She was starting to become a big fan of guilds. Certainly there were plenty of missions that they could embark upon together, and as all of them were outstanding fighters, she couldn't foresee any obstacle that could hope to hinder them.
She stuck out her hand to seal the deal. Hopefully this wouldn't require another tattoo.
no subject
"Then you're accepted. Make sure you don't die," he replied with a gentle slap on her back. He was playful when he wanted to be. It was enjoyable to have more people join their ranks. Their work would definitely be different form other guilds though, since they weren't going to sit idly around. Yuri had a few things under his belt but nothing useful yet.
After the gentle in the back. Yuri stuck out his hand too to seal the deal. There weren't tattoo required honestly.
