Before Night Falls (Open post)
Characters: Angeal Hewley and anyone that would notice him gone or notice the break in his routines.
Where: Start in Aqures Ixen in the Residential areas and then Ends in the forest just outside of town.
When: October 28th.
Summary: It's Angeal's Reunion and it's not a pretty sight.
Warning: Weird things happen whenever genetics decide to play up and pick things out of Darwin's grab bag.
These past two weeks had put Angeal outside of reach. He felt the gnawing sensations gnashing and clawing, the monster inside was trying to break free. Just two days ago, the white streaks in his hair made him realize that there was something seriously wrong.
He had said nothing to Zack and it felt like a knife in his gut that he had to leave his friend again. In the night, he quietly slipped away with no note left behind and no way to contact him. Mogington was worried, clearly, and followed after Angeal. "What's wrong, kupo?"
Angeal said nothing to Mogington but instead he pushed the moogle away in a manner unlike anything Angeal had ever done. He didn't want the moogle to get involved. First, the wings sprouted from his back and left behind a trail of feathers from the residential area to the edge of the forest. With each step, excruciating pain followed. He was shifting into a monstrous form and Mogington watched it all in horror that he couldn't do anything to help his hero.
Mogington flew off to find anyone that could help and his first four contacts were Zack, Sephiroth, Genesis and Genny. "Angeal's in trouble, kupo!"
Meanwhile, Angeal found a space under fallen trees and made his way inside the space to keep himself from view of others. It wasn't so much hiding out of shame, he was trying to keep himself away for the sake of others. It hurt that he had to do this but his humanity had begun to slip away.

He wasn't going to fit in her house.
"Yes, home, but... I don't think you can go inside," She said, placing the apple back in the bag and gesturing for the moogles to come over. "Don't worry. I will think of something."
no subject
"No?"
no subject
The moogles still held each other as they flew over, keeping behind Genesis in their fear. Genesis turned around to huff at them. "Knock it off, you two. It's Angeal."

Penance couldn't cant his head to the side but the raised brow gave away his confusion. That was the first real human response he gave outwardly other than taking the apples and giving an apple back to Genesis. His stomach growled loudly and that only made Mogington even more scared.
Penance's own movements were lumbering, his footfalls were heavy and he stopped just behind Genesis. His massive arms covered the large mouth at the center of his body that embodied gluttony. "Sorry."

Monty wasn't sure whose side to take at this point so he wisely stayed silent, but he did shaking a little in fright. Of Angeal or Genesis' temper, it was hard to tell.
She crossed her arms and looked back to Angeal. "Don't be sorry. Let's just get you somewhere safe where you can rest that doesn't involve squeezing into tight places." As for the growling stomach, Genesis handed him the rest of her apples, about five in total.

"Safe." He said softly, though his voice still rumbled.
He felt like he was a collision of different things instead of a methodical choice in evolution. Those thoughts were quelled by the pain of falling from grace and his own transmogrification. He snarled when he heard something rumble in the brush behind them.
He jumped in the air and turned his heavy body around fast. The spear and shield formed in his large arms and his shoulders hunched low as if he was preparing for a fight. As large as he was, he was quick to react. "Not safe!"

The deer itself continued on, not exactly wanting to stay with people around, including a monster.

As much of a monster as he appeared to be, he wasn't an indiscriminate killer, that much was certain. He recoiled just enough to look at Genesis and then backed down to turn around to move back toward the town.
Mogington looked as if he was about to pass out from how quick Penance was able to move. He didn't think that the lumbering body of his was that agile, but that was somewhat of an ambiguous matter. Angeal was always giving off the impression that he wasn't as quick as he appeared.
"Hm." He dismissed the weapons and nodded.

She wasn't sure what else to say right now, however. She was without words for once. Still, despite the odd looks they were getting, they made it home and she gestured to the porch side. "Stay there for now while I grab a blanket or two for suitable cover, okay?"

Just as soon as they reached her house, his eyes shown like beacons in the night.
"Outside?" He said and took a spot under the awning and just out of view of the street behind her stone fence.
It seemed like such a small space for Penance but at least he wasn't going to create a panic if he was seen by accident. He was tired for not sleeping for two days and the same went with eating properly. It was hard to when his entire body wasn't kind in the least.

Monty and Mogington nodded, although they kept their distance regardless. Genesis frowned at them but didn't say anything else as she walked back inside and dug around for whatever was bigger. She wished they had some sort of tenting though, in case in rained, but she supposed she could figure that out later. She found a couple sheets and pulled them out, bundling them up in arms and also grabbing whatever was heavy to place on top of them. She didn't have any tools to nail them down currently.
She climbed onto the awning by getting onto the fence and hauling herself up, Monty bringing her the sheet and Mogington giving her the heavy items. "Well, it looks more like a blanket fort, but it will do for now."

His fingers were too large and clumsy to handle the delicate work of tying off the blankets properly. He watched her as she worked and his expression softened. Just this small act of kindness had gone a long way.
Mogington agreed to stay with Monty to look after Angeal. "You can count on us, kupo!" He said with a salute. "We're the experts of watching things. Right, Monty?"
no subject
Genesis was a bit surprised as he helped her up onto the roof and kept her steady. But she worked dutifully nonetheless, placing the heavy items onto the sheets first to keep them steady as she worked to tie them off wherever she could. She left the heavy object up there just in case.
Finally, it was all done and she worked her way down off the porch. She felt a lot less graceful than usual, although she never really had to climb much before. She could usually jump with ease. "Alright, that should do it."

A part of him was embarrassed, more ashamed than anything else that he wasn't able to do much other than to watch and to provide a hand as much as he could. He knew he couldn't go into the house but the natural armor provided the cover he needed from the elements. And so, he nodded his head and groaned which was supposed to be more out of approval than out of disgust which might have been taken the wrong way.
