Christmas Party & Cheer

WHAT: Celebrating the snow, the holidays, good cheery, warm fires and friends.

With Rukia's help they were able to find a large enough hall in Christmas Town to throw the party. Zelda had set it for this day since a group of brave heroes were going to set out on the 24th. She had made sure that everything was perfect and of course everyone was invited. There were at least six decorated trees with polished silver and gold ornaments hanging from their branches. Scarlet red ribbons decorated the trees and tables with large bows tying the streaming trails together.

There was one very large tree at the halls center and there were a few presents around the bottom for those who needed a place to put gifts. At it's top was a large pointed star.

Champagne and small finger snacks were set on the tables and a part of the room was cleared for those who wanted to dance. Zelda was even able to hire a few people to play Christmas songs throughout the night. There was a table dedicated to sweets with cookies, cakes, small pies and other wonderful treats spread out for people to try.

Among the decorations was mistletoe. This little plant hung above the doorways waiting for any pair who happens to be caught in their hold. Most of the mistletoe was thanks to Minako but Zelda might have put up one sprig at the entrance to the party; it's all in good fun and kisses on the hand or cheek are perfectly acceptable.

"Excited, is it?" K'pandolu grinned, teeth showing for a bare second. "Is that why we're not supposed to touch your poms, then?"

Saki made a choked sort of sound, but managed to regain control of herself as Bonnie turned to her. "Of course! It was a great idea, and I think we should do something like it again! But I'm not sure she has the right idea about who's looking after who, kupo…"

K'pandolu lifted her shoulder, hands with the palms up, and shifted towards Mary. "She hasn't been a bother at all," she said with a smile. "In fact, I think it's been rather interesting. And better she look forward to it than not, I'd have said."

"Oh I see!" Bonnie got a little confused there for a moment. "Of course we should do it again, kupo. But there's nothing wrong with your Hero watching out for you. We should all work together, kupo. Like partners, kupo! Mary has even been teaching me how to fight!" Bonnie gave her little arms a flex, showing off her tiny muscles.

"Aye, that's true. I wouldn't have even made it out tonight if it wasn't for her." She watches the two moogles chatting with each other. Sometimes one just has to enjoy the cute little spectacles in life. "From what she's told me their pom is incredibly sensitive. And they use it to sense magic and other things like it. She refuses to tell me how she delivers mail so fast but I expect it's part of what makes them special."

Saki nodded, wings fluttering. "That's right," she agreed. "So- I think that's a good idea! I don't want to be something else to worry about. And it looks as though you've been making a lot of progress in that area!" She moved forward a little, trying to poke at Bonnie's arm.

"Really? I'm glad you did, then. It's been a while, after all." She tilted her head a little, wondering if there was more, then relaxed, leaning back. "Oh, indeed? I wonder… perhaps it helps them navigate?" She snorted, shoulders shaking. "At least the moogles of this world seem to get their deliveries right for the most part."

"Perhaps. I imagine there's a good many things in this world I'll never quite understand. But at least I'm here in good company. Had I been stranded all on my own I don't know what might have happened." Both the Heroes and the Moogles both were the recipients of that compliment. As far as 'afterlives' went, she could certainly do far worse.

"And Bonnie is a hard worker. She's earnest, even if her enthusiasm gets away from her sometimes." True to her Heroe's words, the little moogle was waving around two candycanes now like swords, showing off the swordsmanship skills she'd been learning.

"Perhaps if we had another few lifetimes," K'pandolu suggested, tail flicking lightly. Really, one seemed like enough- but if she could learn more, perhaps it would be worth it. She smiled at the other Hero, lifting her chin a little. "I do rather hope that includes us!" Teasing, of course- but she understood the feeling. Facing anything like this alone would have been an incredible trial.

She nodded, attention back on the moogles as Sika let out a shriek of mock-fear, darting back a little. "She seems like a good companion."

Bonnie giggled and gave chase after the Miqo'te's moogle, showing off her parkour skills as she narrowly avoided making a mess of a nearby food table. Mary couldn't help but chuckle at the shenanigans. She'd have to give Bonnie a little scolding later but it did her heart good to see the little one having such fun.

"Aye. It does. Though I wouldn't mind a few familiar faces from home. As selfish as that is." Considering the circumstances of this world as she knew them, she couldn't help but feel that wishing for someone to be brought to this world was potentially a very bad thing.
