A. Sometimes We Need A Little Chubby ~~chicken~~ In Our Life

There's a odd sight if you look up today.

A dark, huge shadow appears overhead as a form is flying. It looks WAY too big to be in flight and yet its short, stubby wings has propelled the overweight chocobo into flying high in the sky.

Dangling in front of it is a piece of sumptuous cake, and the chocobo is flying around, trying to nip at it as the Adventurer was giggling like a schoolgirl.

"Higher, Higher! I told you chocobos would be able to fly!"

B. If It Walks Like a Lalafell...

There's a tiny being walking around the town. One would find it anywhere, following the Adventurer or sometimes going off on its own.

It has round beady eyes, and a grin, but when it sees you, it will scamper up behind you and let out a piercing Ojou-sama laugh.

"OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!"

Those who remember this particular Tarutaru will realize it is a miniature Shantotto.

Yuffie was walking with a Mognet bag slung over her shoulder. It wasn’t exciting work but it kept her busy and moving around. She was quicker than some of the other heroes who worked at the office though still unable to beat the stupid moogles. They felt the need to challenge her and of course, Yuffie couldn’t say not to the challenge. Again she had been defeated and now she slowly slinks back to the office to hear the berate of her work.

Mid grumbling she hears the gleeful shouts above her as a very fat Chocobo went soaring through the sky. This place had chocobo’s like Gaia which meant they didn’t fly, which meant that Yuffie just had to follow him. Her footsteps were quick and the only reason she was able to keep him in sight was because he was in the air.

She brought her fingers to her lips and blew a loud, ear piercing, whistle before shouting up at Meter.

“HEEEEEEEY!”

Hearing the whistle, Meteor pulled his mount to a halt before noticing Yuffie down on the ground. With a grin, he urged the enormous bird towards the girl, with a twist of the cake on the stick.

Swooping down towards her, he guided the Fat Chocobo to a halt as he waved at her. "He Yuffie, what's up?"

The Chocobo warked indignantly at the treat being put away but it idled calmly, giving Yuffie a friendly wark in reply.

“Wow… it’s fatter up close.”

Yuffie blinked at the strange fat Chocobo and then looked at the cake. At least the mystery of how it got fat was solved. She moved around to peer up at Meteor and then looked back at the weird bird. What do you say to something like that!?

“This is… from your world?”

He had said their homes were similar, except he’s a god killer.

"Indeed. I got it from Cid for the Starlight Celebration. Granted I had to work for my second item, but this was worth it. I'm glad at least Chocoking is here."

He patted the bird on the shoulder and it let out a wark. "The flight is hit and miss but I think that's probably an ailment of this world. I haven't been able to find Aether Flows which would allow my bird to fly properly."

“Aether Flows?”

Yuffie was still a little confused with this and she couldn’t tear her eyes away from the large bird. She wanted to pet it but instead of sticking her hand out to be chomped on she looked over at Meteor curiously as if to silently ask if it was safe to pet. Not that she was a chicken, far from it, but she knew that chocobo’s could be unpredictable.

She’s gotten a foot to the face by one in the past.

"Aether Flows. They're concentrated pockets of aether, magic energy not dissimilar to lifestream. Attuning them allows a black chocobo to fly, or rather any other mount."

He nodded at Yuffie, giving the bird a pat. "Go ahead, he's friendly."

Yuffie only half listened to his explanation because it sounded tedious. He'd probably have to ask Cid to find a way to grab it from his world if he wanted to use it but that sounds annoying.

Her hand lightly rested on the chocobo's side who didn't seem to upset by it being there. She petting his feathers lightly before poking him curiously.

"So that's why you're so chubby."

The bird warked in reply, and nuzzled Yuffie's hand for a moment. Meteor smiled. "He likes you."

He was very fluffy, that was a given. There was also a bit of fat there, but for the most part, it was aerodynamic pudge.

Okay, that made Yuffie very happy. She bounced on her heels as he nuzzled against her palm. This bird was far nicer than Butterfly.

"Of course, he can tell I'm awesome."

Yuffie gave up all pretenses and hugged the large fluffy bird with a warm smile.

"He's pretty friendly to everyone, but I think he likes you." The bird chirped again, and let Yuffie hug him with a wark.

"I'm sure the chocobo could get into the air again."

Yuffie continued to keep her head against the bird and then turned a slight shade of green. "You mean flying?" She has never gotten sick on a chocobo before but she's never flown on one. She wondered how shaky it was.

"Is that really okay?"

Her eyes narrow slightly before deciding that she wants to.

"It's pretty common. I'm surprised you don't have one or two person flying mounts back home," said Meteor.

"If you want, come on up. There's plenty of room."

She pouted slightly with her fingers still petting the large fat bird. "I'm not from your world, you know." She sounded annoyed but it was only momentary.

Yuffie flashed Meteor a wide grin. "Let's go then!"

"I sometimes forget that," admitted MEteor as he helped Yuffie up.

Swinging the cake on a stick, the bird warked and leaped into the air, flapping its wings. In a rush of wind the pair soared into the air and hovered about 20 feet over the ground. "Okay so far?"

Yuffie might had flailed forward and latched onto the bird as they lifted off. Her stomach turned but once they were in the air it seemed to settle again. Nothing was as bad as being at sea on a boat because that was just awful.

"Y-yeah." She would never admit to weakness, more so on a chocobo of all things. "Is it faster than a chocobo on the ground?"

"Yeah it is," said Meteor with a grin. "Hold on, we're going for a ride!"

And urging his bird forward, the Fat Chocobo shot towards the highest point of the town, flapping its little stubby wings with a speed unheard of.

Yuffie held on only chancing to look down when her stomach didn't feel like it was tied in knots. She looked back at Meteor for a second as if to gauge something and then back at the fat bird. He worked very hard despite his chubbiness.

"Where are you directing this thing!"

"Top of the observatory," called out Meteor as he continued to fly them closer to the rooftops. "Then we'll be able to see all across the city."

"Why there?!"

Yuffie didn't really like the observatory. It's where all the so called heroes hung out and did nothing to help. She had a little bit of a grudge after the being captured.

"It's a good landmark to see where we can go next," said Meteor as they floated up to the top and hovered there. "From here, you can see the rest of the city. Where do we want to go first?"

Yuffie just shrugged letting her arms hold onto the fat bird. She liked hugging it.

“Anyone out who we can scare?” Who wouldn’t be surprised by a fat flying Chocobo?

"Seems to be a few people who haven't noticed," said Meteor, a mischievous grin appearing on his face.

"Want to divebomb a couple?"

Yuffie looked back at him, her grin wide and unforgiving. “Yes~” Like he had to ask. She then peered over the side of the Chocobo, her motion sickness almost completely forgotten as her gaze flicks over the street for a target.

A few yards in front of them was a couple, most likely on a date and so absorbed in each other that they haven’t noticed the Chocobo flying overhead. “There!” She pointed her finger downwards before looking back at Meteor. He can’t chicken out now, it was his idea after all.

"You got it!" Decidedly grinning now, he urged the chocobo to speed at them.

Swooping down, it warked loudly, sending the pair diving to the side as he laughed and the Hero pulled the bird into a climb. "Lets do that again!"

Yuffie’s grin widened even as her stomach turned. She was going to be sick but she merely clapped her hand over her mouth to watch as the pair scream and duck out of the fat chocobo’s way. Once they steady out again Yuffie feels her stomach settle and her smile return though she might be looking a little pale.

“Yeah.” She gave a short laugh looking back at the angry couple before glancing down again and spotting a group of kids who were playing a game on the side walk. She pointed them out to Meteor.

"You got it."

With a heavy wark, the chocobo swooped down, making the kids scatter as they shouted at the pair, more out of glee than anger. Unlike the couple, they were excited to see a flying bird, much less such a huge one.

"That was fun. Who next?"

Yuffie put her hand over her mouth feeling her stomach turn. She had to get off this bird or she was seriously going to get sick.

"I think I'm good... put me down."

She was used to being on a chocobo but a flying one was completely different and she didn't have her medication with her.

"All right. I'll set us down over there."

Swooping down, they came to a fluttering stop next to a fountain, and the bird nipped at the cake before the Adventurer ruffled his feathers a bit. "Did you have fun?"

Yuffie slipped off the large Chocobo and nodded her head quickly. “Yeah.” It was fun but her stomach just can’t take it. Being on solid ground helped but the sight of the cake didn’t. She quickly shook her head, her fingers moving in front of her lips.

“I should go.”

She didn’t give him time to respond before running off and into the crowded streets.
