Sephiroth had not been fighting alone, at least not in that final hour. As word got out to the other Heroes about what had been happening Cloud rode out from the Ranch, Zack pouring on all the speed he could. The chocobo didn't know what was going on but he could tell his master was worried and that was all that mattered. Cloud's back itched the entire way to the lab, feeling the weight of the Buster Sword there. A knot was forming in his gut and a bad feeling of vuja de was making him shiver.
The feeling he was doing something that he would do again in the future.
The massive sword was just the right thing to deal with the manikins. The size and weight of it, combined with the power of his Dark Knight and Pirate jobs were allowing him to cleave his way through their crystaline enemies with ease. But as he fought he kept looking over at Sephiroth in worry. If he was Paladin he might be able to protect the First Class. If he ever used White Mage he might be able to heal him. Even Zack couldn't do much for him right now thanks to his jobs in use.
The crash made Cloud stop, turning and watching the silver haired Hero go flying in slow motion. He turned to try to defend him but he was likewise swarmed from behind. He fought them off, shoving them away, but each time he made progress towards the other man he was dragged back a few more feet.
He kept fighting, punching a face that was vaguely familiar but he couldn't quite place. It wasn't the time to scour his memory for it. This wasn't the time for hesitation. Focusing on his Job powers he felt himself fill with adrenaline and cut down his foes in a circular cleave. The way finally clear, he ran to Sephiroth's side, skidding and cutting himself on the glass and crystal shards laying around him.
"Sephiroth! Sephiroth are you okay! Answer me!" He cast worried glances at Ace as well, worried for his friend, but his words betrayed the priority that he was placing in this crisis.
Putting this here for now, I'll move it if this isn't supposed to be single thread
