Just as others had, Tear had answered the call for military reinforcements at once, though the battle was already well underway when she arrived. With Red Mage as the most offensive job at her disposal, she had focused primarily on taking out as many of the oncoming waves as she could with magic, her voice breaking through to provide the others with boosts when breath and enemy allowed her. Though grateful for the arrival of each Hero who had come to help, fatigue was nevertheless beginning to take its toll with these two combinations, thus catching her off-guard when she sees her superior fall and the others try to run to his aid.

"Allow me!" In response to Reno's warning, Tear dashes up to the enemy about to cleave the other Hero and stabs into it with quick precision, her focused expression unwavering even though she knew full well that she had no chance against it on her own. The least she could do was subdue it so that Cloud could get away or retaliate as she jumped back at once, recognising that her In The Red skill could only get her so far when she was this weak.

What's more, the sight of Ace collapsing out of the corner of her eye makes her heart stop, already turning to try and reach him if the enemies in the way would just allow her.

"Ace—!" Clenching her teeth, the feeble attempts at a healing spell begin to dance at her fingertips. With those injuries... "We need to finish them now!"
