The house became a place that Selen and Minato shared more than anything. She often saw his face compared to everyone else and they were always seemingly doing something together, whether it was watching the stars, or cooking. Sometimes they chat about things like their worlds. Selen was fond of talking about her son. No doubt that Minato knew that now that he was the reason her mood seemed off.
She felt responsible since she raised him and she feared that one day something would happen to him because of her parenting. This wasn't the case right now but she felt responsible regardless. If there was anything she could do to prevent his death she should have, yet she wasn't able to.
He probably didn't seeing how Selen was the type to appreciate whatever she got regardless of if it was to her liking or not. The thought always seemed more appealing to her and she wasn't the type to deny good wine. His presence would be appreciated, since Selen didn't know how to deal with certain turmoils of emotions that plagued her usually carefree demeanor. She heard the steps and quietly looked through the window, seeing the boy returning to their shared home.
He was one of the few she still spoke to, chatting idly when she could. She learned quite a lot from him and he seemed to be growing in many ways since she's met him. He was definitely someone she could trust with her back. Selen would probably head downstairs to greet him for the night since it was a habit of hers since she started living here.
