Yo Who Wants A Stakeout? (Open)
Who: Erika Kurumi and You
What: Erika is off looking for UFOs
When Feb 8 to 12th.
Where Farms and Chocobo Ranch
Warnings: None for now.
Erika was a girl on a mission.
Having seen and discussed with several, she was dressed head to toe in a hand made outfit that was reminiscent of a Sherlock Holmes outfit. She had purchased some binoculars for herself, Coffret and Kuplo Kopp and the trio were sitting in bushes, staring out across the way.
"If we keep this up, we'll be able to find the culprit as soon as possible!" Exclaimed Erika as the fairy and moogle searched through the bushes and alternated on the oversized pair of binoculars.
"You think we'll find anything kupo?" asked Kuplo Kopp.
"Erika's instincts are never wrong!" Boasted Coffret.

The Chocobo next to it hung its head with an embarrassed "kweh..."
no subject
Kuplo Kopp looked over at Erika. "Is... he really able to understand Chocobos?"
"Fairies can understand all languages. It's universal." said Erika as she crawled up to the window and peeked through.
no subject
The window was dirty, as expected for most buildings where animals were kept, but Erika was able to make out a figure in the darkness. He was hunched over something on the ground, and once in a while, he stood up and walked to a Chocobo pen.
no subject
"How suspicious," whispered Erika, crawling over to another window. "Looks like he's planting something."
no subject
...was to get inside.
no subject
Sneaking around to the rear entrance, she carefully opened the door and peeked inside. And then, like a careful Erika-shaped snake, she crawled over to a group of boxes and slid under the cardboard of one, poking holes in the handle to look out.
no subject
"Alright," his scratchy voice spoke in relief when he could finally drop the bag. "Lunchtime, Chicky old girl." He leaned over the bag and opened it.
no subject
"I hope its kupo nuts," whispered Kuplo Kopp.
"Oh geez those are good," whispered Coffret back.
no subject
"There you go, no need to be afraid. That's a good girl." The old man seemed sad while he stood there. "It's so strange to think you used to be the happiest Chocobo on this ranch," he sighed.
no subject
"Coffret, Kuplo Kopp, can you two go out there and ask the old man what's wrong with the bird? I'm going to sneak over to the door and enter like it's no big deal."
"Roger wilco," whispered the pair as they slipped out from under the box, and the box shuffled towards the door.
"Hi, what's wrong with the chick, kupo?" Asked the moogle.
no subject
Until the moogle's voice caught her attention. She glanced over to Kuplo Kopp with curiosity, but the moment she saw Coffret, her eyes went wide.
"KWEEH!" She screamed and kicked at the gate, knocking her food trough over. There was no escape from her stall. She ran to the back of the small room and flapped her wings frantically at the walls. They beat harder and harder until the sound of them hitting wood was so loud, the old man feared the whole stable would fall down.
"Kweh! Kweh!" She continued to cry.
"No, no, not now!" The old man turned his head from one side to another before settling on the moogle and fairy. "You! Get out of here! Chicky's panicking and it's all your fault!"
no subject
"We're really sorry for making her afraid, kupo," added Kuplo Kopp. "Look, he's not anything weird!"
And he flew behind Coffret and tugged at his cheeks, the fairy making a "desu" noise. "See? Perfectly harmless! He's a friend!"
"We just want to help." added Coffret in a muffled tone as Kuplo Kopp continued to make squeaking noises with his cheeks.
no subject
The old man's face turned red, and he grabbed a broom to shoo the two outside. "Get out of her sight! I'm not gonna let you stand here and ruin her nerves. Out! Outside!"
Sweep, sweep.
no subject
Once outside, the pair waited arms crossed as Erika popped out of her hiding spot. "No good huh. We'll have to corner the old man directly."
no subject
Once the terrified warking ceased, he walked outside with the now-empty bag.
no subject
"That's right/Desu" the pair chorused, floating either to the side.
"So cough it up! Are you in league with the UFOS?" demanded Erika.
No, Erika, that's not how you interrogate.
no subject
"The what?" He tilted his head in confusion. "I've worked here all my life. Why would I know anything about...that?"
no subject
"He has a point," admitted Kuplo Kopp. "As much as I hate to admit Coffret being right."
"OI!"
"They have a point," said Erika in a softer tone. "It's related to that chick, isn't it? It must be traumatized from his or her mommy being taken, am I warm?"
no subject
"Chicky? That old girl?" He looked back at the stables. "No, she was old enough to be trained to ride when she went missing. Just one morning, poof! She was gone. Just a few days ago, she came back."
no subject
"She must have been abducted!" Exclaimed the two mascots in tandem.
"Yeah! Old Man, where's the last place you saw her before she vanished?" asked Erika, growing excited. "We might have a lead here!"
no subject
no subject
"Yeah, daytime isn't going to get us anywhere," said Coffret.
"Is there a place we can hide out to watch the area?" asked Kuplo Kopp.
no subject
A place to hide out. He glanced around the fields. "The silo is a good place to stay hidden, but if those thieves plan to raid the stables, you can hide in some hay there."
