Event || Another Side, Another Story (Conclusion)
Characters: Anyone (only characters who came in as part of the event can start new threads).
Where: Anywhere
When: 29th of February.
Summary: As the final day of the event closes in, the characters who came in are on the verge of meeting with a terrible fate: some are going to die whilst some are going to crystallize and disappear. The tragedy may happen to them anytime from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM on this day, so they can see some of their friends die or crystallize before it happens to them—Or not. If you plan on app’ing your character next week, then nothing will happen to them so long as their application is accepted. In doubt, you are free to wait until the application round starts and your app gets processed before posting here.
Warning: Tragedies of the Greek and Shakespearean flavors.
MELODIES OF DEATH
— Warning: If you pick this option, you will lock yourself out from ever app’ing this particular version of your character again —
Maybe you were minding your own business, planning for the future as you finally reached civilization and met a lot of wonderful people. Maybe even you were thinking about ways for you to save your homeworld, ways to fight Palitutu, Garland and the Calamity. But unfortunately you will not be able to do any of these things, for a terrible fate awaits these Heroes of Light who were awakened by Kalki all these months ago.
At any time during the day, it could strike any of newly arrived Heroes of Light. At first it will start with a terrible, agonizing pain that will surge throughout their bodies—Nearly unbearable, as if they were dying. After mere seconds the pain will subside, but then they will feel life itself leaving their bodies. There would be a little bit of time for the Heroes of Light to speak final words to their friends, but only seconds to a minute at best before death catches up with them
And upon dying, the crystals of dead Heroes of Light will shatter and their bodies will remain, not crystallizing. All the Heroes of Light in Crystallis will feel a sharp pain as this happens—But the pain will grow lesser and lesser with each subsequent death, until it’ll become nothing more than a tingle.
MELODIES OF ETERNITY
— This option will have the characters crystallize and disappear, meaning they can still be app’d at some point in the future —
And because many of the newly arrived Heroes of Light, maybe you assumed you would as well—But maybe you wouldn’t. Not all of the Heroes of Light who reached Mysidia this past week were meet with such a terrible fate. Some will fall in Crystal Stasis instead. It was a state that had immobilized and taken away countless Heroes of Light before, but maybe this was better than death?
Like those who died, they will feel a terrible pain surging throughout their bodies. But rather than fading, the pain will remain as their bodies slowly crystallize. They will have the time for a farewell to their friends, but their time is limited to nothing more than mere seconds.
And only instants after their bodies fully crystallized, they will vanish, nowhere to be found.
MELODIES OF LIFE
— This option is for character being app’d and then accepted into the game —
Or maybe nothing will happen to you. But unfortunately, you can see everyone around you dying of crystallizing, and assume the same fate awaits you.
But why? Why it this happening to everyone on the same day, just after the two groups of Heroes of Light finally reunited? Surely this cannot be a coincidence…

Re: Melodies of Eternity | Ysayle
Their crystals...? [She raised an eyebrow. What could she be...?] Ysayle, what did you witness in your vision?
Re: Melodies of Eternity | Ysayle
Our company. They are turning to crystal or else falling dead where they stand. Their crystals are shattered. I...
[Something is wrong. She feels a tightening at her chest and then a pain like a cold icy dagger piercing her heart. She hunches over, her hand clutching at her chest now.]
N-no! We must do something
Re: Melodies of Eternity | Ysayle
M-Mayhap someone would know what to do in the-
[...Science District, she was going to say. Yet her words fall short of the mark once Ysayle doubles over. Partially because she too begins to heal the dagger in her chest. Had... had it already begun?]
W-we must hurry. [They did not come this far simply to crystallize or die, did they?]
Re: Melodies of Eternity | Ysayle
But here and now it seems that the best she can do is warn and call for help.
They manage to make it to the Science District before Ysayle falls to her knees, gasping out in pain. She clutches her hand to her heart and a glow comes from her coat pocket. Her crystal is chiming in time with whatever is happening.]
No...it's too late...
[She tries to move but she can feel her legs turning to crystal, growing up around her like the ice when she transforms into Shiva.]
Re: Melodies of Eternity | Ysayle
A prayer that went unanswered as any had been in the last several moons. Stopping in her tracks as the loud gasp behind her, she turns to see the crystal's glow; Ysayle's legs beginning to crystallize in the same whitish hue as the glow. Reaching out for her comrade, as though it would help matters any, she felt her own legs rushing to be by Iceheart's side.]
Ysayle!
[No... No, this was all wrong! They were supposed to fight together, not this...!]
Re: Melodies of Eternity | Ysayle
As Ysayle faltered, her own thoughts went to the voice she could not touch for these past months. The Heroes here had said that those who were Crystalized were safe. Safe as much as they could be. Not dead. But she knew not what this meant.
So in the end all she could do was hope and pray and ask for strength from the voice she had put her faith in. Her hand went to her breast and another held high as the crystals crept up her body.]
Alisaie. Forgive me. I cannot continue on with you here. Saint Shiva...Fill us with your light. Quench the hatred within our hearts and bless her with eternal grace.
[As she finished her prayer the crystal surged, swallowing and encasing her completely as in ice.]
Re: Melodies of Eternity | Ysayle (1/3)
She shook her head. No, you misguided fool, don't-]
No...
[Not you, too. Not after everything they all had been through together!]
Ysayle-!
[Yet as she tried to touch the crystal, it was too late. Her comrade was encased in a similar manner that the reports had dictated, but this time no visible differences could--or would--be detected.]
no subject
No... this can't be... [Yet as the words left her mouth, Ysayle's encased form vanished without a trace.] NOOOOOOOOOO.
[The word left her mouth without her realizing, stunned and horrified. It... It had been so sudden, with little warning at all despite Ysayle's vision. She didn't want to believe it, but had to accept this reality. That even more of their friends and comrades were about to suffer the same fate, or worse... die in indescribable agony.]
Re: Melodies of Eternity | Ysayle
Biting her lower lip and withdrawing her hand, fists now shaking, she muttered behind a sob:]
...Fare you well, my friend.
[...before running alone along the path they had both started upon, fighting back the tears. She had to warn someone. Anyone.]
Grandfather... lend me your resolve just once more.
