"Ah, so you know each other, then," Chrom said, shaking Jaune's hand and releasing it. He certainly seemed anxious for Pyrrha's well-being. They must have been close. "Easy, she's doing just fine. I saw her at breakfast this morning. She's a thoughtful and considerate roommate, we've been lucky to have her with us."
He took a step toward the hallway, gesturing for Jaune to follow. "I'll show you to the room we'll be sharing. We thought it was only fitting for the ladies to keep their privacy. I placed your stipend in the top drawer of your nightstand. You should have plenty to purchase whatever necessities you require."
The room was clean and neat, and also showed Chrom's interests prominently on the wall thanks to a hanging weapons rack: swords. Three of them adorned the wall, with two more standing upright near the closet. There was a third empty rack, the blade accounted for as it was worn sheathed at his hip.
"How do you know Pyrrha?" he asked conversationally, moving toward his own side of the room and closing his suitcase to allow Jaune plenty of space to look around. "Do you hail from the same world?"
