Our time is waiting right outside your door
Characters: Genesis Rhapsodos and Angeal Hewley
Where: Her backyard
When: 11/15
Summary: After the fiasco of last month, Genesis feels now is a good time to talk. Over s'mores. Just like old times, eh?
Warning: None.
The fire crackled as Genesis held her marshmallow over the fire, waiting for it to get toasty in that golden brown way that she loved. She wasn't sure why she decided now was a good time to have a snack in the middle of the night over a fire, but she did and she brought Angeal along too. It helped that she was able to find the sugary confectionary, chocolate, and graham crackers in this place. Although it was obvious that no one ever tried combining the three.
But she remembered S'mores fondly from back in Banora, during her childhood with Angeal. This Angeal was not hers and perhaps she will always be reminded of this, but this Angeal obviously didn't discriminate and didn't care about her gender.
Genesis smiled as her marshmallow toasted, pulling it away from the fire to place on the chocolate and cracker Angeal held for her. He placed the second cracker on top and squished it down, allowing her to pull the skewer free. They traded then, the skewer for the S'more, it was his turn. They hadn't spoken much yet, the night silent. But she finally broke the silence as she bit into the campfire dessert and hummed in delight.
"It's been years."
