Dancing All Night
Who: Everyone
What: A slumber party at the Observatory so the Heroes can experience something nice for once.
Where: Old Observatory
When: Night of May 12th - Morning of May 13th
Warnings: If your character comes, there's a huge change they'll catch the sickness from someone else who's infected but doesn't show the symptoms. Duster will have many regrets in the future.
[All those that had been invited to the Observatory tonight would see all the windows on the bottom floors lit up before sundown. Duster and Zelda had spent most of today setting up bedding and rearranging the furniture in preparation, and then Duster had to run back home to change into his new suit.
There were multiple rooms with lights set up. One has a corner turned into a makeshift stage where musicians could perform. Two had tables of food. Several rooms were left alone for partygoers to have private moments (Tamekichi suggested that). There was also a box of beer bottles as a sad attempt at a bar, with an empty bottle marking the area where party games were to be played, Spin the Bottle included (all that was Tamekichi's suggestion, too).
Duster greets the arrivals at the door with a soft smile, wearing a periwinkle suit, a white dress shirt, a red shit, and black dress shoes.]
Welcome to Club Ixen! It's time we had some fun.

[He scratches his cheek. This is so weird, partially because he isn't sure if K'pandolu is more cat than anything.]
I'm good with the top of your head.
no subject
K'pandolu twitches one ear back for a moment, and nods.]
That's perfectly fine.
[she bends her head a little to make it easier, eyes on him to see how he proceeds.]
no subject
Alright.
[Awkward, but nothing to worry over.] Maybe this game won't be so bad.
[In the back of the room, Tamekichi bites down on a Kupo Nut cookie violently in frustration.]
no subject
Nothing difficult about it in the least.
[sorry not sorry Tamekichi.]
Have you played this much before?
no subject
[He usually sat to the side and ate burgers while OJ and the others played with some of the other workers when the club wasn't open.]

[Duster gives her a smile and shrugs. He's a simple man with simple needs, and he's used to the quiet pleasures of a village life.]
Unless you're asking about hobbies. Apart from practicing the bass, I spent my time getting to know everyone. You see, when I showed up at the club, I lost all of my memories.
no subject
[she smiles back, leaning forwards a little, but it drops after the last part.]
You did? You… do you know what happened?
no subject
[He instinctively puts a hand in his pants pocket, but the Egg is safely hidden in his room.]
-which stores memories. I woke up knowing nothing about myself, not my name, not where I was going...except that the Egg was important. I kept walking and walking until I found a mound of dirt to buy in, then kept on walking in search for help.
...That's how I found Club Titiboo.
no subject
That's… quite extraordinary. I've never heard of anything like it… Does that mean the Egg took them to store?
Your friends, I take it? What are they like?
no subject
[He holds out a hand and limply waves it around. It's hard to explain when Duster doesn't have any magical or psychic intuition.]
I didn't think about the Egg while I was working at the club. The people there are pretty cool...except for the bouncers that weren't fond of me when I first showed up. [He closes his eyes for a moment.] Sure, I become a musician afterwards, but first impressions say a lot.
no subject
[she snorts, ears twitching.] I would rather suspect they're paid not to like new people. Unless… something happened, specifically?
no subject
[He grimaces at the thought. If he had only gotten there soon, if only he didn't get swept down the river, if only he found the Egg on his first try...would the world still be intact?]
I don't--they weren't welcoming at all. I was looking for a place to stay, and where I'm from, we gives strangers a place to sleep. It's the right thing to do.
no subject
[one that- people would kill for? She assumes so, and droops a little.]
I'm sorry. Is there something you can do to bring him back?
Ah. [the sound indicates she finds that somewhat distasteful.]
And you never know when you might need some hospitality in return. These things can come around, after all.
no subject
And being kind to others does more than warm your own heart.]
We did find him, but there wasn't enough time to break him out. The fate of the world was at stake.
no subject
Of course. It's troubling how many worlds seem to be in trouble…
Did you succeed?
no subject
[He doesn't know. He was sure his world was destroyed when he woke up in Crystallis, but with the news that his world is being used as an energy source to keep this one alive, that's not the case.
It's not an ideal situation, but it's better than believing that all of his friends were dead.]
I think so. One of my friends has the potential to remake the world, but I didn't get a chance to see it.
no subject
[it sounds a little terrifying. But- she thinks Duster's a good person, and she wants to wish him and his world well.]
Perhaps we'll be able to make sure that you can see. I'll hope so, at the very least.
no subject
[He won't mention the apocalyptic disasters happening on the Nowhere Islands just as he left, seeing that this world was in danger already.]
All I can do is have faith in Lucas, but he's a good kid. He'll save us.
