What: A place to play out the Triple Triad Games

The Smoking Trickster proves to be Ryoji Kaji, a middle-aged man wearing rumpled Scholar robes, and, true to form, smoking throughout each game.

[OOC: Placement on the board can be determined by Top Left, Top Center, Top Right, Middle Left, Center, Middle Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Center, Bottom Right.

To determine who starts, please go to Random.org, and pull a random number from 1 to 100. Kaji will pick Odd number each time, if it lands on an Even number, then your character goes first. If you have any other question, please feel free to PM me!]

"Oh, it wasn't that bad - I mean, we didn't suddenly sink into the depths of despair and all! Or was that the month before? Oh, who does it matter, it happens all the time!" Deadpool said... before noticing another monster being taken.

"Augh, no!" He slumped down, head in hands. "I'm losing! Me!" With a grunt, he put the Tonberry on the upper center spot.

Kaji tilts his head to the side as he looks at the cards. "Darn, nothing that can take that one. I kind of like the little guys, spooky as they are. They're here, they're real. I know someone had to have captured one for the Monster Arena if you want to see."

Eeney meeney miney, Kaji selects the GIM47N card to go in the Top Right corner.

"Ah-ha! A chance to counterattack!" Deadpool declared. looking at what was left. Tonberry King at top left, Wendigo at bottom right, Abaddon at bottom center, Elastoid at center right, Trauma at center, Tonberry at upper center, and GIM47N at Top Right. That just left center left and bottom left. Deadpool pondered and pondered... and noticed his counterattack.

"Ah-ha!" And he placed his Ochu beside the Abadon. "6 greater than 5, it's mine!"

At least he hopes so!

Correct, the Ochu takes Kaji's Abaddon, but if anything, it makes Kaji smile more. He puts down his final card, The Iron Giant card in the Middle Left space, its 6 takes the Ochu right back, ending the game.

Final score is 7 to 2, Kaji.

There is an excited burst of cheering from the audience behind him. "Ku-kupo! Go, Kaji!" A moogle with a Scholar mortarboard hat handing off one ear is whistling and cheering as if he just saw the final of a blitzball game.

Kaji laughs and shakes his head at Shinji. He offers a hand to Deadpool. "Good game, thanks."

"Aaaugh, no! This wasn't supposed to be! I'm a main character! We're supposed to win!" Deadpool griped before he dropped his head onto the table and extended his hand to take Kaji's and shake it. "Just tell your Moogle to calm down or he'll be learning to fly out of that cannon!"

"Shinji can be a little...easily excitable." Which is a strange sentence for Kaji to be saying, all things considered.

Kaji picks his last card back up, the Iron Giant, and looks at it carefully. "Where do they get the ideas for these things? I know some of them are real. But I wouldn't want to come across one of these." Giant metal man with a sword as big as a building? It'd be like trying to fight an Eva on foot.

"Heck if I know!" Deadpool said, lifting head head up once more. "A video game? But, who'd make a game out of this?" Oh, he resisted the urge to chuckle. HE KNEW.
