When: 15th June - 30th June.
Summary: Catch-all log for the Cluedo Event. If you would like to pursue investigations and play out the fall-out of the Cluedo events, this is the post for you. Please refer to the second OOC Post for the setting and what there is to be played. Another Log will be posted at a later date to play the murders.

[It's a good thing the person she runs into is a cop. He stumbles back in surprise a bit, ready to give whoever it was a talking-to, when he notices that it's Ib.]

Hey, kiddo, what gives?

[Oh good. Sparks will know what to do.]

I-it's Jade! He- he's been... k-

[The word 'killed' is still hard for her to say, especially about someone she knows, and Ib swallows around it. But she tugs on his sleeve and gamely tries again.]

He was stabbed! And there... there are two other people too! You have to come quick!

[Well that's not what he was expecting to hear. Hopefully this is something his Cure spell could take care of.]

Alright, just keep calm, okay? Tell me where they are.

[He almost tells her to go home, but the culprit might still be around. He'd rather her stick with him in that case.]

... 'N stick close to me, got it?

[her_rose_is_red]

R-right...

[She takes a deep breath, trying to push aside her initial panic.]

Over here!

[Ib is bolder now that she isn't alone. Even if Kidd did murder Jade, he wouldn't try anything with Sparks right there. But she does keep a hold on his sleeve as they head back to the scene.

They'll get to the other two victims first, but the scene of Jade's untimely demise is visible from there.]

[Once they get to the scene, Sparks will have to have Ib stand back while he works. He doesn't want her going far, but he doesn't want her hanging out with corpses, either.

He looks over the two people initially, but moves on to Jade fast. It's clear that he didn't survive the attack. He knows he only has a limited time to inspect the crime scene around a Hero before the disappear into crystal.

Time to call for his moogle, and get her to alert the police station of what's going on. Moogles are great help in a world without radios.]

Did you just find 'em like this, Ib? Was there anyone else around?

.....James Kidd.

[She hangs back a little, glancing around nervously.]

He was standing next to Jade and... and I thought maybe Jade was just sleeping b-but then I saw the blood...

[There's no sign of Kidd around though. Sparks doesn't like how that looks.]

If Jade is d-- like this, then this had to have just happened. Otherwise he'd have disappeared by now. Did you hear anythin'? Anyone struggling or yellin'? Something like that?

[her_rose_is_red]

[She shakes her head.]

N-no. I-

[Maybe if she'd been braver, she'd have something more. Ib looks at the ground guiltily.]

When I saw the blood, I got scared. So I ran...

Don't worry 'bout it. [Even Sparks has a hard time being mad at the little kid for running from a murder scene.]

Just hang tight. Other officers'll be here soon and I'll get ya home.

[For now, he'll have to get down and close to Jade's body, to note as much as he can before it up and disappears. Then he can move on to the others. And he'll have to do all of this without letting Ib out of his sight.]

Okay....

[She still feels bad. She's a hero! She should have been braver. But Ib will stay out of his way and wait for the other officers.

Actually, she'd rather not look at the scene anyway, and finds the ground terribly interesting.]

[Once the officers arrive, Sparks lets out a loud whistle that calls for Mercury. He'll help Ib on to his back before he gets on himself.]

Yer not goin' home to an empty house, right? Kaji's home?

[There's a pause, too, as he's not sure what to say to her. Police officer, marshal or whatever, dealing with a kid who stumbled across a murder scene isn't exactly a frequent occurrence.

And we all know how good Sparks is at dealing with feeling.]

Are you, um. You okay?
