Summary: Catch-all log for the Cluedo Event. If you would like to pursue investigations and play out the fall-out of the Cluedo events, this is the post for you. Please refer to the second OOC Post for the setting and what there is to be played. Another Log will be posted at a later date to play the murders.

She looks away from Ramza's gaze, down at the floor. It's not that she didn't expect an answer like that though. She is just a kid. And she honestly doesn't have any evidence.

And then her eyes flick backup to meet her father's gaze and she doesn't quite smile, but there is a little flash of gratitude. She knew he'd listen. Even if she doesn't have much. Even if she's wrong.

She doesn't think think she's wrong though.

"Um... mostly the time. Because Kidd was already there when I found Jade. Standing over the..."

She can't say body.

"...Standing over him. It doesn't take long for a hero to turn crystal, right? Jade wasn't crystal yet when I saw him. So... So he couldn't have been... that way... for long."

He couldn't have been dead very long is what she means. Why is so hard to talk about people you knew being dead? Ib is a little bit frustrated with herself. She wants to be treated as an adult but she has to act like one first.

Saori gripped the arm rest of her chair until her knuckles were white when she hear Ib accuse Mary--no James Kidd. No, ripping at a child who's seen too much wasn't something she'd lower herself doing. It wouldn't help anyone. She just wished she was here to explain herself to them instead of going off on her own. They would've understand like she does.

She shook her head. "Kidd's only been listed l as a witness for now. In order to obtain the Assassin job, you need both Thief and Ninja equipped. While there is one skill Ninjas has elemental properties, it's too weak to do what it did to the victims. To my knowledge, he doesn't posses a job that has ice magic so that would eliminate him as a suspect for the first one. He was probably trying to examine the murders himself so it's possible it would've looked like he did the murders out of context."

"Going back to motives of these murders, maybe discrediting the Heroes isn't the only reason. What if this is meant to intimidate us? I mean, we are getting closer to that date we cross paths with Palitutu. If she can disable our jobs, who knows what other things she's developed just for us."

"I assume he's given his statements to law enforcement, then?" Kaji looks back at Saori. He's assuming that Saori is only speaking up from a professional standpoint, doesn't know about any connection between her and Kidd. "How's his alibi?"

"You'd have found me in the pub immediately before Jade's murder, I ran into Ib when she was fleeing the scene." He recognizes that he's got to put his own alibi out there, and isn't shying away from the fact that he had the ability level to pull this off.

"But if we're looking at people with Jobs outside of the Heroes, okay, then? When's the last time anybody saw our favorite Imperial Spies? Did they sneak out of the capital in the wave of refugees?"

Sparks didn't like where this was going.

"We ain't pointin' fingers until we get more evidence and more time to investigate. So y'all better settle down with the accusations."

He paused for a moment to get a good look at everyone in the room.

"But that also doesn't mean yer all off the hook. People are gonna get brought in and questioned. We're doin' this by the books."

At the mention of the spies, Sparks frowns further.

"Haven't seen them in ages. Really hope we're not dealin' with those jokers."

Saori gave a nod at Kaiji. "His alibi does check out. Ales can vouch for me as well since he and Kidd were there when I had arrived on the scene. I was doing a morning patrol before then. I was also securing the scene of the second and third murders as well. Been practically working nonstop at the station."

This would probably one of the few times she was thankful Spark was around. The last thing they need was a witch hunt. Not to mention the less heat focused on Mary meant Saori could focus better on the investigation. "I haven't heard anything either but we won't leave a stone unturned."

"'Leave a stone unturned'... That's it!" Twilight said, eyes widening. She'd been a little quiet through the entire thing and was trying to piece things together, but things started to click together.

"I know I haven't been really following the investigations - that's more of the police's business, I know, but I've realized something is not right here." She started to pace around a bit as she started to gather her thoughts. "You're right, we're looking for someone with a powerful Job, but I don't think it's a Job we have yet! I work in Palitutu's Laboratory and I know we have a Job that's almost complete. In fact, I think it should have been done by now!"

Twilight stopped and jabbed a hoof outward. "Whoever killed these people has that Job. Whoever killed these people used the Bending Jobs! It's a set of jobs that uses the elements themselves! One was found cold and damp? They weren't killed by Ice magic, but Water magic? What could push someone with the Dragoon job off a roof? A heavy gust of Wind. Rocks killing citizens? Moving the Earth! Which means we need to make sure we try to stop someone before they burn them in Fire!"

"Heroes aren't the only ones capable of using two jobs." Ellie spoke up with her distinctive Germanic accent, leaning forward on folded arms. "While it may be possible that one of us is responsible, I find it very unlikely. Some of the prisoners we rescued had been experimented on by Kalki, and were granted the ability to take on two jobs. So I know it is possible for non-Heroes to possess multiple abilities, just as it is possible for more than one suspect to be present on the scene. We have no evidence that only one person performed the murders, after all."

Her lashes lowered as her expression cooled. "That should be taken into consideration. What's more, this could easily have something to do with the cultists in Downapolis that Malik and I investigated."

That no one seemed to take seriously at all, much to Ellie's displeasure.

She sat back, lacing her fingers together. "We may not have gathered many details, but they did have 'something big' planned. This may be it. It certainly suits their methods, does it not?"

She glanced at Twilight, pursing her lips slightly in thought. A Bending job? It was possible... She resisted the strange and inexplicable urge to shift her gaze to the blue-haired lordling innocently sitting nearby when Twilight mentioned that someone was due to die of fire next. What an odd impulse.

Kaji opens his mouth, and then closes it, and then puts a hand to his face. "Shiiiit. We ran into this before! It might not even be one of us! It's not the Imperial spies...but it's the spies. Sort of."

Kaji has to think for a second, but he ticks the jobs off on his fingers. "Illusionist, Magitech Knight, annnnd I wanna say Ninja? They were Jobs that the three spies, Jenni, Deweg, and Biggs, they had on them when they attacked here! Originally developed by the Heran Empire, we got them later."

"The research on the Bending Jobs, it was started by Palitulu. What if she's kept her own research going, on her own side? We could be dealing with Imperial people using Hero of Light jobs. And, because she already knows her stuff," Kaji snaps his fingers. "They got the element bending jobs first."
