I'm a friend of hers as well, as well as an investigator on this case.

[Lailah crosses her arms, more like holding herself, unsure as to how to proceed.]

I'm not very used to situations like these. I just thought that if we both knew her, maybe working together would be effective...

[ Yuri replies with a neutral gaze fixed on her. ]

I don't dislike the idea but we don't even know each other. How do I know that you're not some sort of serial killer underneath those fancy clothes?

[ It was a sarcastic remark but Yuri couldn't possibly trust strangers without testing them first. ]

Would it help if I took my clothes off?

[tilts head.]

That's not necessary.

[ Yuri coughs a bit at the comment. Did she really just say that? That was a bit to blunt for his comment. ]

You're a pretty weird person.

That's probably the nicest way anyone's said that to me.

It's fine, though. I can understand your trepidation, so I won't push the issue. I hope that once this is all over, though, we can try meeting again under different circumstances.

You're kidding right? People don't usually say that when they're getting insulted in this kind of manner. You seriously got some guts.

[ And then she giggles. Okay so he might have judged her a bit too fast. She might be kind of creepy. ]

You got a point there. I don't thin you're the type to lie anyway with those sort of responses, it's hard to classify you as a liar or a killer. Then again I might be making the wrong judgement here as well. Anyway, I'm Yuri. Yuri Lowell and this is Repede.

[Lailah bows politely.]

Sir Yuri. Sir Repede. My friends call me Lailah.

You may be cautious in making your judgments, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. You're using humor to keep people at an arm's distance so you can see for yourself what kind of person they are before adjusting your behavior accordingly. In any case, perhaps one day I can earn your trust. If anyone has a chance of getting to the bottom of this case, I'd be putting my money on you.

You don't have to do all the formalities you know? It's nice to meet you I guess.

[ He raised a brow when she started to unravel his acting in a matter of seconds. She is definitely someone he's going to have to keep his eye out for. The girl clearly stated the truth and it's kind of weird that she knew more than he thought she would about him. ]

I suppose you got that right. In any case, it's not nice to make judgments but I can't say it's a complete lie either. You're pretty spot on for the most part. It's better to suspect then trust. It might be a trap and I don't think you should have that much fate in me, Lailah was it? I'm not exactly you typical Hero.

[ She also gets a look from Repede as he moves towards her. Well, she's a pretty lady. He's sniffing her out. ]

You may not be the hero Crystallis deserves, but you just may be the hero it needs.

[She bows politely before taking her leave.]

But the same could be said about all of us.

The funny thing is, that's probably the nicest thing I"ve heard someone say to me. It's kind of weird.

[ He replied with a large laugh from her comment. Someone's a little flustered. ]

I'm not dismissing that factor.

I'm sure people say all sorts of nice things about you.

Just probably not to your face.

Right, because people get intimidated by my face huh?
