[Backdated Log] Some Sappiness and Closures...
Who: Vincent Valentine
bloodypast, Lucrecia Crescent
toomanymistakes, potential witnesses?
When: Through end of May, up to Sometime in the first week of June? PRE-MURDERS!
What: Some closure and discussions that happened post-the Answer; Constant bonds and visiting a crystalized Hero.
Where: Aquares Ixen Hospital, Crystalized Heroes Wings
Warnings: Cute and sap and fluff and potential sadness?
Open: People are welcome to have been witnesses/witness to his visiting. Please use the Witnesses/Visits comment.
Vincent Valentine was fairly constant and consistent, when he devoted himself to something. Even if that devotion hurt, and was still in a tentative and fragile state. But, as he had on Gaia, he found himself visiting Lucrecia, encased in Crystal once more.
They had talked, after the events where they had all been spirited away from the city, and reminders of their past, she had cornered him--they were overdue for some serious talks. Nor was he unhappy she had cornered HIM this time around. Not that speaking came easy--the past between them was complicated and painful, and Crystallis had only made things more complicated.
But they HAD talked. And before she had gone into stasis, they had agreed. Both still cared, but neither was going to jump in blindly. The most open thing they'd done so far simply consisted of Vincent walking her home from the lab at late nights. Small progress, but it was progress.
With her entering stasis though, Vincent had behaved similarly to how he had at least twice before on Gaia. A few times a week, he would visit her in the crystallized heroes wing. A plain glass vase, small bouquets of flowers left. Never very long in his visits, but enough that it was rather clear for those who knew how to understand.
Ophelia, while being his companion, has been decidedly enjoying the quiet romance she's playing witness to.

[not that she'd want him sick, of course.]
Oh? What kinds of things did you see?
[but naturally she's going to ask when something's dangled in front of her like that!
She shrugs, letting her hands slide down, one ear flicking.]
It went fairly well. I managed to turn a little bit of a profit… I didn't want to touch chocolate again for a good while afterwards, though. [and she twitches both ears towards him] How was the day for you?
no subject
Most likely the same types of things others did. Events designed to mentally make us weaker and prey on our fears and doubts.
[Sorry, that's all the answer she's getting on that topic.]
Too much of anything, even things we love, can lead to resentment.
[Now was he talking about love and emotions, or chocolate? Anyone's guess.]
Well-enough, as after my shift at the Library I spent it with a friend. It..is not my favorite holiday, to begin with--and this person also had been feeling lonelier than usual. It was good to remind them, though I am far more subtle than they are, that I do care. I do not make or call people 'friends' easily or casually.

… Surely we must have had our fill by now. [she pauses, though, tail lifting slightly.] It's odd, though. Ours seemed more… informative than that. That is- I've no love for seeing Garlean architecture, but the buildings in themselves held no troubles…
[she hums, ears flicking again.]
Hopefully not for forever, though. And I don't just mean chocolate.
[a nod, and a light smile.]
It was good of you to spend the time with them, then. I hope they appreciated it.
[she tilts her head a little, still smiling.] Which means they're that much more important, doesn't it?

[Vincent's expression is as stoic as it ever is, even if it is a good thing that K'Pandolu is smiling again.]
no subject
Very perceptive. It's good that she has you, then.
And I'm glad we have you, as well.
[just, you know. Generally.]

That surprises you?

It's- I think you have a sensible head. It's not a bad thing.
no subject
I appreciate the sentiment. On some things I am far from sensible, and what sense I have gained in other areas is dearly gained.
[Polite at least, and he was slightly touched even if he disagreed with her.]

There are others who have more experience and sense than I.
no subject
But they're not you.
[BUT this is going around in circles let's change tracks]
You're working at the Library, you said?
no subject
[It was definitely a change of pace from what professions he'd held before, and the quiet didn't bother him. He also did enjoy reading--as Ophelia had been delighted to find out as well. There was a small bookcase in the room at his house.]
no subject
[she tilts her head, curious.]
What else do you do?
no subject
[He had always been more of a loner by nature. Aloof, and not inclined to speak without reasons. The quiet of a Library suited him well.]
I practice, either at the observatory and hero's school, or in the wild.
[He did some other stuff, like mostly keep himself and Yuffie--and occasionally Reno--fed, and there was 'story-time' as Ophelia had dubbed it. He wasn't going to mention those however.]
no subject
[she grins, though, just amused by the choice of wording.]
Oh? Perhaps I might see you in action sometime.
no subject
Most people find it boring, but if you want.
[It might not make a difference to him.]
no subject
I would! I'd like to see how your style compares to the musketeers.
