ugh, i hate this
Characters: Dylas and open!
Where: Fishing outside Aqures Ixen
When: 22nd of June through the 25th of June, late at night
Summary: There’s a curfew in effect, and Dylas can’t dodge the police all the time. Whether they’re sent there by the police to keep him company, a fellow character out too late who needs to be forced with someone to avoid a fine, or a ‘friend’ of his he’s asked to accompany him, they’re going to have a late night fishing trip.
Warnings: Probably none.
Note: I’m leaving off the dates he’s suspected for murder, but they’re not admissions of guilt, it’s to keep things mysterious. Because there are only four nights available, if more than four people want to babysit Dylas, it’ll have to be assumed they only stay with him half of the night, which is no big deal!
[This is kind of a drag.
He’s used to murder and killing. Someone could probably look at his claws and fangs and assume that. Dylas has to stop and wonder when he became so desensitized to killing, but then he decides to stop wondering about it because he doesn’t want to admit he’s desensitized to begin with. It’s always an internal struggle adjusting to this world where he has a different relationship with humans.
Whatever!
He scoffs and moves his hoof in the water where he’s sitting, pants rolled up and rod held firmly between his hands as he waited for fish to bite. It’s peaceful. It’s late, pleasantly so, and the moon and the cold always help him relax a little more than they should. He hardly makes a sound thanks to his equipped job, so everything is perfectly serene and silent.
Except he’s not alone.]
You’re being too quiet.
[No doubt, Dylas had asked his companion (or ordered them) to keep quiet, but sitting in silence with someone, not knowing what they’re doing is almost worse than being left to his own devices. Like, what if they’re staring at him? Or doing something weird?!]

[He sounds a little surprised. And impressed. He doesn't really know how any of the jobs here work, just that if he gets himself hurt he'll have to be...creative...about restoring himself.]
It wouldn't be the first time something bad had happened to me. I'm kind of waiting for them to drag me in just because of how I look. That's how people react to things like these, right?
[But he's just going to focus on his fishing. Hm. The mood's getting a little dark. He can't say that he minds, but maybe because it's Midna he should try to be a little more...involved.]
Hey. Do you want to see something?
[It probably won't impress her, but he might as well try.]

( just like taking along your pal lil midna.
at that next bit though, she looks up and over his way with a mildly interested— ) Mm? What's that?

[He feels a little silly for this, but since she's here, he might as well go for it. He stands and walks in the water a short ways before becoming completely still.
He doesn't say anything, he just waits a few moments before he swipes with his hand, launching a medium-sized fish out of the water and onto the ground next to where he'd been fishing. It's something he can only do because he has the vampire job equipped and because his limbs are long and tipped with claws.]
...You ever see someone catch a fish like that?
[midna he looks a little proud of himself, be nice]

Haha! Hahaha! Heehee! I suppose, it's not bad. ( she raises into the air, holding her hand out and seeming to admire the back of it. ) If you prefer to set the bar low. ( she's kidding... really... probably... )

[Geez, he can't even look at her while he's being laughed at like that. Here he is, wet up to his ankles and tail wading in the water as he swishes it agitatedly. He doesn't know what Midna likes, but he thought it might have been...sort of impressive.
He'll sit back down and pointedly not make eye contact as he picks up his rod and swings it back into the water.]

I mean, only one fish? You're better off with the rod so that you don't smell like a wharf by the end. But if you were looking to catch more, then...
( she floats to a standing position, looking rather devious as she curls her hand into a fist, the orange of her hair becoming suddenly alight. her ponytail sparked to life, mimicking the movement of her hand perfectly— ) You should watch this! Hup!
( with real ninja-karate chopping action, she hurled the large hand made up of hair down into the water, sweeping it violently against the current, and raking up two large wriggling fish in her grasp.
and now she's smiling again, apparently satisfied. whoops, sorry if you got splashed, dylas... ) Well?
( she'll just wait for what is inevitably praise. )
