Where: The Crystal Ward of the Hospital, among other places
When: 06/27, one week after his murder
What: Reno returns to life from crystallization, and the consequences

It had been a week. A week of stillness and silence. But like the others before him, that slowly began to change. Crystal thinned, softened, returned to flesh. Almost imperceptibly at first, Reno's chest began to rise and fall again.

And about a second later, he shot up, clawing and gasping for air with a pained cry of "Kyo!"

"He would've come in with me, he... he died around the same time I did..." Reno shook his head and scrubbed his face with his palms. "Never mind. I'll figure it out."

He'd find Malik on his own, no need to trouble Thancred. He just hoped the other man was awake. Maybe Malik had already left, somehow sneaked out while no one was looking. He was an Assassin, it could happen.

"Has anyone else died?" he asked instead. "Since me?"

That part he remembered, unfortunately. On the bright side, being dead meant he couldn't have killed anyone in the last week.

Thancred shook his head. "I've only been in here to see you. I haven't paid much attention to who else is around." At his other comment, he nodded. "If you want me to check and come back, I can also do that."

He pauses and sighs. "Yes, there have been, but I don't know their names off the top of my head."

Reno rubbed his temples. On the bright side, he supposed, that meant he didn't kill everyone. Of course, it still meant people were dying and there were multiple killers running around.

"That's okay. Any news is helpful." He tried to smile, though it didn't quite come out that way. "Thanks. For coming."

"No sweat." Thancred said, "I'm glad to see you awake." He really was, he'd been worried. Reno didn't seem like one to be down and out for so long.

"I'm glad t' be awake. Dyin' and comin' back is startin' t' become old hat, an' that is not okay." Riding a bike, shotgunning beers, even killing other people -- that was fine. Getting used to dying? That was just weird.

"I'll be relieved t' be back in our room, dealin' with just the cat an' walkin' around naked," he confessed with a tired smirk. "I fuckin' hate hospitals. Soon as they'll let me, I'm outta here."
