Still holding on tightly to his hand in both of her own, Ira couldn't see her eyes as she kept them closed, her head down. Studying her?--she was still, so very still when she'd always been more energetic.
"That's..." Tripping over the words, Lydia started then stopped. "While you were a...a-crystal." Hard to say the words, as Lydia hated the stasis. She hated things so rarely, but she despised that state while many viewed it as a boon.
"Many of us had a vision. It was like--like we lived it, even though it was only a vision. 2 years, maybe less, from now. Maybe more--but things happened, and rifts within the Heroes came. We fought, we disagreed, some left. I...I was numb." Still holding his hand so tightly between her own, clinging as if he were a life-line.
"I can't say I was 'alone', as people I considered friends were still there it was true. But I was--still alone in a crowd, so to speak. Because no one understood. When everything hurt, and there was no point to existence but more pain...why go on existing?" It wasn't clear now if she was speaking about the vision, or something else with the emotions in her voice. Anguish and fear.
