Albel squeezed her like if he let go, she'd disappear again. He couldn't take that. His own world was in danger of being erased, going through the nothingness of the Interdimensional Rift only reminded him of what that would be like. It was only when she started pulling away that he had to let her go, reluctantly.

"Better now." He sighed, just relieved to be with her again. It was a strange feeling, but he'd realized he liked it... even if it did make him vulnerable, emotional, distracted, all the things he hated about attachments. All the things that made attachments dangerous. But somehow... it might be alright. Sheena was strong. So was Fayt, and Nel... So was his father.

Albel hugged Sheena tightly again. He didn't want anyone to get hurt on his account. But he would die for his friends, now that he had them.

Mogdelina was surprised at the sudden display of affection from her hero, but soon enough she looked pleased as punch. She'd called this ages ago.
