ninjainviolet: ([Light Embarrassed])

Sheena actually took his not looking up as a sign of exhaustion; the he was too tired to even lift his head. And that was one of the sources of her concern over her friend.

That trip through the Rift and what had happened to all of their crystals sure as hell hadn't made things better for them, either.

And while Sheena might appear to be all fine and dandy, those who knew her would be able to detect her own exhaustion in her eyes and the way she didn't quite moves as quickly as she normally did. As for pain? Yeah, she felt as though she had been working under her Grandpa's tutelage for several days at the moment. Both of those symptoms, however, didn't mean a thing on her. They meant more when her friends were experiencing them.

Her brows furrowed even more when he answered, and she continued looking at him critically. Despite the appearance of his clothing, she couldn't see any injuries on him, and while nothing else had happened to her during the trip through the rift, that didn't mean others had been spared. Still, he seemed to be telling the truth and finally, she relaxed both her gaze and her posture. Leaning against whatever was behind her, she nodded. "I know what you mean. I feel like my Grandpa just made me train for 24 hours straight."

And that was all she was going to say about that, since like him--and probably others--she was also keeping an eye out for a certain pair. And the longer she didn't see them, the more worried she became--even though she had no doubt that they were all right. She had to think that so she could focus on what lay ahead for all of them.

For now, though, she turned towards the Moogles and smiled at them. Corrine was beaming over Spencer's gift, and that smile grew even larger at the other Moogle's invitation.

"Oh, that sounds really nice, kupo! Sheena makes things, too--including a bread! It's really good, kupo. She lets me help, so I know how to make it, and I can bring extra nuts if you want to try it."

Yes, Corrine liked to cook just like Sheena, but at his comments, his Hero blushed and turned to Sephiroth with a chuckle. "He really isn't that bad of a cook; he just...sometimes gets excited."

A warning that Corrine just might go overboard with the amount of nuts he would bring.
