That trip through the Rift and what had happened to all of their crystals sure as hell hadn't made things better for them, either.
And while Sheena might appear to be all fine and dandy, those who knew her would be able to detect her own exhaustion in her eyes and the way she didn't quite moves as quickly as she normally did. As for pain? Yeah, she felt as though she had been working under her Grandpa's tutelage for several days at the moment. Both of those symptoms, however, didn't mean a thing on her. They meant more when her friends were experiencing them.
Her brows furrowed even more when he answered, and she continued looking at him critically. Despite the appearance of his clothing, she couldn't see any injuries on him, and while nothing else had happened to her during the trip through the rift, that didn't mean others had been spared. Still, he seemed to be telling the truth and finally, she relaxed both her gaze and her posture. Leaning against whatever was behind her, she nodded. "I know what you mean. I feel like my Grandpa just made me train for 24 hours straight."
And that was all she was going to say about that, since like him--and probably others--she was also keeping an eye out for a certain pair. And the longer she didn't see them, the more worried she became--even though she had no doubt that they were all right. She had to think that so she could focus on what lay ahead for all of them.
For now, though, she turned towards the Moogles and smiled at them. Corrine was beaming over Spencer's gift, and that smile grew even larger at the other Moogle's invitation.
"Oh, that sounds really nice, kupo! Sheena makes things, too--including a bread! It's really good, kupo. She lets me help, so I know how to make it, and I can bring extra nuts if you want to try it."
Yes, Corrine liked to cook just like Sheena, but at his comments, his Hero blushed and turned to Sephiroth with a chuckle. "He really isn't that bad of a cook; he just...sometimes gets excited."
A warning that Corrine just might go overboard with the amount of nuts he would bring.

He put his hands back behind him and leaned back as Sheena did so, a light smile pulling at his features as he connected completely with what the ninja was saying. There was no more than a light 'hmph' in response though, though as if needing the distraction he first cast a longer look over Sheena and eventually followed her attention to those two moogles still floating nearby.
"A kupo-nut...bread!? Can't say that we'd ever tried to make it at home. It must smell just glorious.."
A couple of breaths of a chuckle weakly followed as Sheena made her additional comment to Sephiroth directly. He blinked down from keeping an eye on Spencer and once more cast a sweeping glance around, just in case the talk about kupo-nut baking might bring Tempest out of hiding.
"I can't be the one to comment, really. My own culinary skills are elemental at best."

One day.
Until then, they had to deal with the slings and arrows of that known as exhaustion and pain. As for recovering from the stiffness, he could still work through it the way Sheena was. She was currently sitting, twisting her feet slightly to keep them and her muscles moving and less stiff. Hopefully, it would work.
Looking from Sephiroth to the two Moogles, then back, she chuckled. "You've been warned. Don't blame me if there's kupo-nut dough everywhere," she said impishly, the gleam in her eye showing she was joking.
"That happened only once!" Corrine protested. "And I cleaned it up!" Sheena nodded to confirm it. "It was the first time we made something. Since then, he's been really good. Even comes up with things to add once in a while. I think you'll like the bread." Her tone answered Spencer's speculation about how it smelled: delicious.
Looking back to Sephiroth, she glanced at him curiously.
"I take it you don't help with the cooking then?"

Every now and again the movements of Sheena's ankles caught his attention but he didn't think much more to it than that; he knew that it was his own fault for sitting down for so long. He'd get up and jog on the spot, or do squats, or something to get himself moving again in a few moments, no doubt. Besides it seemed like their time here was only the start to another mission. Palitutu had been blunt indeed in informing them how long they had to complete whatever journey she had in store for them.
"We all take turns to chip in, though most of the recipes come from Tempest." Sephiroth answered Sheena, a light grin still fixed on his face at Corrine's protests and how it was nice for Spencer to have something like that to look forward to. Too often, the little guy has to deal with a lot of his difficult moods.
"It's not exactly a skill I'm particularly strong in, though."
In the next moment he brought his legs in and levered himself up into standing, shifting his weight from one foot to the other; before then proceeding to execute two deep squats. Time to get those legs moving again.
