You're Too Slow-Kupo!

Who: Sonic the Hedgehog and others!
What: Possessed by a vengeful Moogle spirit, Sonic is on his way to acting like a certain Creepypasta. Also, he has a nefarious plan set into motion.
Where: Around Aqures Ixen.
When: October 23rd until this event ends
Warnings: Sonic.EXE

He can do this. He has a nice plan that'll go real quick. Nice and quick. But, he can't just zoom on ahead like this. There's too many heroes running around. Things need to be culled down just a bit.

So, with many unsuspecting of what's going on - except for that yapping maniac, but no one believes him anyway - Sonic's going to wander around and do some investigating. See who'd be more than willing to "help" him.

"'Ey! Yo!" he called out, trying to wave someone down.

Near the end of the Event

Mimi had a difficult month. Her Hero went missing while she was in Mysidia with only a note indicating that he would be gone for several days, then he showed up demanding that his Jobs be switched, and before she could relax in Aqures Ixen, he shook her until she conceded with switching his Jobs to Ghostbuster and Scholar. Ales was usually such a patient Teensie, but zombie outbreaks can bring out the worst on everyone.

Not that he was being worse. Since the outbreak, Ales had been teaming up with other Heroes instead of working alone. She supposed that was good enough. Today, he had split off from the main group to hunt down a pair of zombies, and Mimi remained in the rooftop where it was safe. Ales was so small, he could get hurt. It was a relief that Sonic managed to cross paths with him.

From her perch, she saw Ales shoot one more blast at the offending zombies before waving back. "Need help?"

Ales found nothing strange about Palitutu's old lab. It was abandoned and full of machinery: an ideal place for civilians to hide. He readjusted the pack and nodded.

"Get there fight now. I'm catch up as fast as I can." Sonic would always be faster than him. Best that he uses his speed to hold off the zombies before Ales arrived with powerful backup.

Sonic was arrogant. It was like him to get unjustifiably frustrated when he had to wait. Ales rolled his eyes and hooked the end of his pack shooter onto its holster.

"Get going." The speed he inherited from the Thief Job - thanks to Onion Knight - made him faster than usual, but nothing like the hedgehog. He ran to the lab.

October 24th

Mary couldn't put her finger on it but there was something odd going on. For one there didn't seem to be much in the way of any overt disturbance this year, and it was a shame that the relative calm was what made her all the more suspicious. But then there were the little things. The moogle themed equipment and a few people she'd run into acting just a tiny bit off over the past few days. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was about to happen.

She'd been running patrols, trying to keep an eye out for a threat, hoping to help to cut it off before it could get any momentum, and that's what had her out late on the evening of the 24th, running the rooftops as Assassin's do. Running into other Heroes while she was out wasn't something that surprised her anymore, but as she got waved down by Sonic she felt that knot in her stomach once more.

Cautiously she free ran her way down from the rooftop to the alleyway below. "Sonic. Out patroling as well?"

Mary frowned, crossing her arms. "Aye. I don't like it. After the past two years for everything to just be quiet as it is...I suppose we can hope for it to be peaceful but I just can't believe it. My instincts tell me something is about to happen."
