Characters: Kyo Sohma & Yuna
Where: Aqures Ixen
When: December 7th, Mid-day
Summary: The curse of the zodiac was always a burden back home, but in Crystallis, this curse didn’t carry over. Kyo will soon realize he’s no longer as unfortunate as he use to be when stumbling upon Yuna. This allows him more bonding time with the kind woman as well.
Warning: Levels of anger, and perhaps mild fluff?
It was December, just about a month after he and Tohru arrive. Kyo still wasn’t totally accepting of what’s been bestowed upon him. At the very least, he had come to terms with most of it. Rather than resist the system, Kyo had become part of it. Crazy things aside, he was actually really excited about having these new powers of his. Being able to execute techniques better than he use to with his monk job. He hadn’t utilized his dark knight as often because of how drained it left him feeling.
Being that it was December meant that Kyo had to get Tohru a Christmas gift. He hadn’t the faintest idea of what to gift her, and pondering over the mystery didn’t help his frustration any. The redhead paced around a nearby outlet trying to think of something suitable for her. She was dumb enough to accept anything from him, but he wanted it to be something more than that. She deserved better.
Without paying attention, his path clashed with another, someone familiar. Kyo had run into Yuna.

Everything was as she had remembered it, it was a good sign that she hadn't been suspended in stasis for long. These thoughts, among others, were enough to distract her from paying attention to her surroundings, resulting in a collision with another body. "Oof!" she rebounded slightly, losing her balance from the impact, and lost her footing completely sending her barrelling into Kyo.

He didn't turn into a cat.

"A-are you okay." Kyo's voice was shaken.
He pressed his hands firmly onto her shoulders and prompted her to move off him.
no subject
"Um. Are... you all right?" He was a bit pale, wasn't he? "I didn't hurt you, did I?"
no subject
"No." He replied in a flat tone. Like always, he was as fit as a fiddle. "I'm fine." Although he didn't sound all that fine.
Come to think of it, he hadn't seen her awhile...since they arrived. That was almost a month ago, and the city wasn't that big. It was the same group of faces almost every day. In attempt to direct the conversation away from him, he spoke.
"Where the hell have you been?"
no subject
"Well, I -- was away visiting the county of Flence, you see. I thought maybe there was a chance someone there had seen the rogue moogle there."
no subject
Unlike her, Kyo chose to remain on the ground, but he was still getting over the shock that his curse didn't trigger upon colliding into Yuna.
"Yeah?" His tone still flat.

"And then I... was in the hospital briefly..." she trailed off. Perhaps the slight revelation was enough to appease him. It wasn't lying if you were just... omitting some truth, was it? "But I'm all right now, of course," the mage was quick to add, looking over his way with a nod. "Ah... here, let me help you up," she offered him an open hand.
no subject
"No!" He retorted. Kyo had realized just after he said it, that his sharp reaction might been too much. "I can get up myself." He followed, this time with a lower tone, though still stern. He removed his hand from his face so that he could use it to press his weight off the ground.
"S-sorry." Kyo continued, in a more unsettled fashion than before. "I didn't mean--" a disgruntled sigh, "Thanks for the help."
