Summary: Mirai faces her Calamity Self
Warnings: Violence, mentions of death
She stood outside the lab for an extremely long time, staring at the huge doors. Seeing as how there weren't a lot of people here that she really knew, she hadn't attempted to contact anyone. Chances are anyone who's coming in with her are the ones who witnessed her standing around for an extremely long amount of time. Once inside she handed over her crystal to her moogle without hesitation - Mirai left that hesitation outside. With a nod to Riaru, the process began and it wasn't long before a dark shadow took form across the room.
Purple eyes were staring back at her behind the red-rimmed glasses, not saying a word for the longest time. Calamity Mirai shifted her right foot back, shoes scraping against the floor in the process and Mirai did so as well - preparing to fight her other self. Water formed in her hand until it became a blade-like weapon but the purple-eyed Mirai did not yet attack.
"We're alone again. Senpai is not going to come this time. No one is going to come. No one even knows we're alive."
"It's fine." Mirai responded simply.
"It's not!" The words are shouted, the Calamity Mirai lashing out with a wave of dark energy.
Mirai is ready to meet the attack and brought up her hands, her liquidy sword spreading until it became a wall of water to act as a shield. It splattered the moment the energy hit the shield - water splashing at her feet, spraying back to drizzle down on the group of onlookers.
"Our life is over so why? Why are we here? Why were we brought here? It was a good ending, a good sacrifice! We got to see senpai one last time, got to tell him what we needed to. It was supposed to be over! Now we have to do it again, have to go on fighting without him." Mirai's Calamity self waved a hand, a dark light gleaming around her but no attack is made - a simple boost to enhance her own abilities. Tears have formed in the shadow's eyes but have yet to fall while the real Mirai looked on with a sad smile.

"What's wrong about getting another chance to live?" Ruby said. She didn't know Mirai was dead and yet, in Ruby's eyes, having a second chance would be wonderful. Like... with her mom.
"And there's more to fighting than to fight for one person. There's more people out there she can bond with. Like me!"

Yuri shrugged. It's a typical thing for him to see from everyone. For his own experience he was already aware and eager to just get things done and over with. For someone who is fairly new here, Mirai needed more than just words. Unfortunately, words were the only things he can offer.
"No one knows what will happen here. I told you that but being angry about it won't get you anywhere. Keeping it to yourself and bottling it up only makes it worse."
