003 Umeboshi

Summary: Long story short, the pseudo-couple have a new roommate and she's more than they Kyo bargained for. Surely they'll all get along...
Warning: Only that it might become cracky and comedic, and maybe adorable later on?

The days were starting to grow colder with the winter settling in. The cities were more than festive about the upcoming holidays with all of their decorations and events. On top of that, more "heroes" had arrived with the same guise as those before them. With that in mind, the confines of house B-06 accommodate this change. The new living arrangement allowed one of the newer heroes to take refuge in the house that was appointed to Kyo and Tohru to live in.

The two of them had been out and about, somewhat celebrating with the festivities, and somewhat participating in other things. They hadn’t expected to have a guest upon their arrival home. She looked to be no older than a few of Kyo's cousins. While he opposed to female company for Tohru, Kyo was a little abrehensive about it.

"Are you new?" A rhetorical question, but silence would have been more awkward.

"Ah! Hello!" Tohru peaked her head out and around Kyo, who seemed to have stopped somewhere between entering the home and seeing their newest roommate. Her arms were laden with a basket of food stuffs for dinner tonight, and here and there a holiday decoration that had been either free or cheap.

As usual, she was mindful of her manners, so she quickly dipped into a bow and introduced the two of them. "My name is Tohru Honda, and this is Kyo Sohma." Though she was just as surprised as Kyo was, it didn't seem to bother her in the least that there was suddenly a stranger in their home. "You're a Hero as well, yes?"

"Oh my, such cheerful children," the former General replied as she stepped into the room, greeting the two of them with a radiant smile. Selen's expression always remained cheerful and happy regardless of her situation. At least, for now she was good at keeping that act up.

"Yes, I believe so, isn't that right Galahad?" she mused to her moogle. The creature hovering over her shoulder nodded its head to confirm her words, "Pleasure to meet you Tohru and Kyo. I'm called Selen. Let's get along together," she replied patting Tohru on the head. She's such a cutie already.

Selen wasn't the type with filters, so her actions were always rather abrupt.

He would hope she was assigned here, although he wouldn't be surprised if she just made herself at home here. It wasn't like it was actually theirs. All things considered, the rooming wasn't so bad. She seemed like a nice person, but he'll remained guarded for the time being. The fact of the matter was, she was still a stranger to them.

Kyo took his shoes off at the front, as it was part of his culture to abide by this custom. The foreign woman likely didn't do the same. "You didn't track in a bunch of water did you?" Grah! It was packed with snow outside, it had to have melted. They just cleaned this place too.

"I'll get a towel." He'll part from them temporarily.

The headpatting was sudden, but not off putting. In fact, it made her feel much younger than she seemed in comparison, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. "It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Selen. Are you hungry? I could make you something to eat!" Tohru turned to Kyo expectantly, only for him to go on about the water, which put Tohru in a bit of a fluster. On one hand, she should probably help him with the water, though if there was any, she didn't see it, on the other, that wasn't a very welcoming thing to say to their new house guest, though... it was roommate now, wasn't it?

No, she hadn't really been home per say. Selen's been exploring the premise for most of the day and learning things here and there so she could get her hands on experience. That way, when she needed to get things done, she could prance off to do it. She blinked briefly at him and wondered why he was taking off his shoes, but brushed it aside to reply to his comment.

"Nope. I was taking a walk on the pavement with Galahad. I'm sure I shook off my shoes before walking in."

She replied. Well, maybe she sort of did and hadn't walked all over the home yet in them. Not that Selen seemed to be worried about that.

"Oh silly me, I must have stepped on something earlier then."

She replied giving him a playful half apology. Well, she supposed if she did what he did earlier and took off her shoes, it would be better? Either way, she's already doing it after petting the girls' head.

"Some friendly passerbies were directing me to food. I already had my fill, but thank you, sweetie."

She replied flashing Tohru a bright cheerful smile.

"Pardon me, I'm quite apologetic for this arrangement. This place is rather bizarre giving people places to live when other people already are occupying it. Isn't that silly, Galahad?"

They were at least cute children. Tohru was super adorable and Selen already took a liking to her. The orange haired boy however, might be a bit rough around the edges.
