"That would be wise!" Kenshin shared Aang's sentiments, satisfied to simply have the dragon bewildered and annoyed. Giving any further battle would surely tire them, and they weren't even off the volcano yet. He imagined Aoi and Akane both felt the same - after a sleep that long, and having obviously been separated from the other Heroes, there were certainly much more important things to pursue.
Kenshin cast a quick look over his shoulder, reading the terrain as quickly as he could. The ridge on which they were standing was not smoothly paved, but a short run away, there was a slope winding downward. Though it was lined by jagged, sulfurous rock, it looked to provide a path by which they might descend the mountain, and it was far too narrow for a beast as broad and ponderous as the Calamity Dragon to give chase.
He looked back to Aang, Aoi, and Akane, and nodded tersely, sheathing his sakabatÅ. "Quickly, to the pass!" he said, having to shout the words over the blinded dragon's aggravated roar. "We must find the others if we can - before any creatures like this find them as well!"
