[Johnny get glanced by a laser, and curses loudly at the machine.]

Shut that thing down before I just bust the hell out of it!

[He hefts up his lance to demonstrate, but when he hears Mevanwi calling for help, he stops. He doesn't have much to help with other than a light healing elixir that he tosses her, in case there are no healers present, despite the fact that he could really be using it on himself right now. But he's a Hero, and that's what he's here for.]

[Reno yelped and pointed at it to Jade. If they totally shut it down, then they might not be able to explore what the rest of the menu held.]

[He just hoped that Manual Control gave them the control and not someone distant via remote.]

[Jade works the terminal as quickly as he can. By the sounds outside, it's apparent his healing magic is needed. Hopefully they're able to hang in there for just a little longer.]

[The Snow Beast stops moving, the graphs and charts are unchanging, and the entire machine quiets down now that it isn't attempting to move or shoot anything. Those in the cramped cockpit are free to investigate and put in their own commands.

Meanwhile, down below, Mevanwi catches the Elixir, pauses to look at it, then rushes to administer it to the fallen man. His wounds lessen somewhat - though as a native of the land, it does not magically heal entirely.]

He's recovering. We're going to have a group send him back while the rest of us go on with you.

[Johnny sets down his lance with a relieved sigh. He nods to Mevanwi, glad that the man was at least stable. Time to deal with his own injuries the old fashioned way, with bandages made from pieces of his clothes. Can't get too reliant on healers. After that he goes to check on Reno and the others in the cockpit. He'll just pop his head in to keep the place from getting overcrowded.]

Good job. So what's the deal? Can we use this thing?

[Mary sighs in relief as Johnny comes to the rescue, but her concern for the scavengers isn't completely allayed.]

We can't ask you to put yourselves in any more danger than you need to for our sake. If you can show us the way that would be fantastic, but we'll take care of the Archfiend. It's probably our fault he came to power in the first place.

[She can't stop them from helping, but she doesn't want them throwing away their lives either.]
