"... Tear-san." Minato's expression is a sad smile, gazing up at her through all the mess that is his long fringe and now untied hair. "Don't strain yourself... How many times do I have to keep telling you."
Or does he have to say it twice as often now? Well, neither of them would be able to look him in the face again if either got seriously hurt. He was straining on her the weight of his whole body, she grasped onto him as hard as it could, and after the usual hesitation he's even worth this effort, Minato finally returns the gesture, clutching her wrist in turn. He didn't want to die. He had people to protect. One of the dearest right in front of him.
As he felt his strength recover from Jade's healing, he strained the shoulder of his free hand to grab hold-- and then abruptly, they were falling again. Protectively, he pulled Tear into an embrace as she landed on him... sort of, up until gravity didn't feel normal. "What...? What is this?"
Pulling back, he noticed Tear's depletion of health, and quietly healed her once again. Right now, he didn't want to leave her side. What he says next are hushed so that only she can hear, "... I wish I had your apple pie more often before all this mess began."
It was a weak attempt at a callback to more peaceful times to comfort her-- and he might also deserve being punched for such a disproportionately casual comment, but it was also a genuine regret. Underlying beneath it, she may be able to tell... he wanted them to both get home okay.
