Sheena drew back slightly at Shakyamuni's comment. She had mentioned their Melodies when they were in the Calamity, but the ninja hadn't quite realized what she had meant. Part of her wanted to argue, to say that they'd find another way, but she knew there wasn't any. New Melodies--new souls--were needed. Souls that knew about this world and others.

Sheena was about to volunteer when honesty forced her to stop. Her tendency to rush head first into things and become emotionally involved might be beneficial a lot of times, but this time? It would probably do more harm than good.

Not to mention she had some promises to keep.

Standing next to Albel, she reached for his hand as she watched the four volunteers step up, her gaze coming to rest on Sephiroth. She let it linger for a moment before bowing at the waist to thank them and show respect for the choice they had made.

Straightening, she made another promise: that what they were doing wouldn't be forgotten or wasted.
