Getting in gear
Characters: Kidd and MarKus
When/Where: At home, shortly after everyone gets their regains
Summary: Kidd needs the aid of her flatmate's tinkering skills to repair her gift.
Warnings: None
Kidd was a little skeptical when she held the crystal in her hand. A gift? Something they want? It was a kind offering, but this reminded her a little too much of the problematic and dangerous artifacts that the Assassins and Templars fought over back home. Then there was the matter that the...woman who gave her this thing wasn't even human. Something close to, perhaps, but clearly not. It was all very strange.
In spite of her suspicions, she got something she had been missing but it had appeared in poor condition. Whether it was part of the process or they somehow liberated her equipment from the prison back home didn't matter, she now had a hidden blade. It was broken, but this would be better than trying to have one made from scratch. After mulling over her options and talking with Bonnie, she decided the best thing to do would be to offer the repair job to her flatmate.
Kidd sat on the couch in the living room as she waited for MarKus to return home, the device laid out on the table in front of her. She had been picking at it a bit, trying to fix the mechanism herself as she waited. She knew enough for maintenance, but it seemed like some parts needed to be replaced outright.
