Who: MarKus Haley; and open, but aimed mostly at those who all got the same job quest
What: MarKus prepares himself and the smithy for his 'vacation' in order to get himself a job that finally gets him the thing he's been aiming for since day one; a giant robot.

MarKus had spent... a good week or so in regret of the bizarre things he'd been put on autopilot to do. He didn't feel that's really how he would've done things; not at all. But yet, they were done, and to him, everything after it had ended in the worst. Most didn't seem to understand that 'the future isn't set, and now he was finally falling away from his optimism too. Maybe he was getting old.

Or maybe it was just being so far disconnected from everything that had made him happy and optimistic before.

But then the news came. Word of giant robots. The thing he loved. The thing he built his live on for a good third of his life. The thing that brought him family, friends, glory, and a sense of worth; on the largest stage possible. With this, with a mech under her butt, in the pilot seat, he could finally feel like he was the 'goddamn hero' he'd always been before!

Fortunately his too-eager request to get the jobs he'd need were shared by others, and he'd been selected, with a group, to go do something that would reward him proper. he had to pack and prepare for the trip, of cours,e but he had orders to fill as well. It wasn't the same anymore; his passion for the construction of things had been cracked. He still had the skill, but his heart wasn't wholly in his work anymore. It was just... work, now. And he had work to do at he smithy before he could set out, or meet up with those whom also had the task.

Hopefully he didn't botch this one and take too long freeing up time that he would miss the party at all.

What: Ramza is proposing a Christmas time peace with the Empire to deliver presents ~~and warning Kurma that his city is going to be a crystal in a month or so~~.

Warnings: There will probably be consequences for our stupidity. This may include, but is not limited to, death, torture, capture, immolation, and/or extreme exasperation on the parts of all NPCs involved.

Ramza was not sure whether it was the ‘Santa’ job affecting him, or if it was his own ideals, but either way, as Christmas approached, he knew what he needed to do. The Heroes of Light had reached out and given gifts to the kids of every city but one. The Imperial children, the ones who were in imminent danger of crystallization in the upcoming months, had not been visited by Santa and his helpers. Even if Cid was convinced the Empire was full of monsters, Ramza could not believe that of the children. There were lives worth saving there, and he would not write them off.

If there was ever a time to reach out to the Empire, it was now. Ramza had a bag full of presents, and he was certain that if he could just explain his reasoning, he would be allowed in to distribute them. And once inside, perhaps he could find Kurma and warn him of what they’d learned from the Sage on the Continent of Ruin.

They had failed to save the people of Aqures Tosf, and Ramza was determined to never let a tragedy of that magnitude happen again, not even if it killed him.

WHEN: October 11th - 31th (Except the days she’s doing other stuff.) @NIGHT
WHERE: Aqures Ixen; Your Home and sometimes just outside the city.
WHAT: Chasing after ghosts
NOTES: Yuffie is doing this for the monster arena so feel free to toss any ghosty we might need! Depending on where in the city she’s tagged Imma say she’s chasing a different ghost/monster. You can catch her anywhere so feel free to put her anywhere.
WARNING: None: Possible ghost puppy sightings.

Yuffie was used to moving quickly, even if her jobs didn’t always allow her to move as quickly as she liked. In this case she was happy with her job combination though it wasn’t so obvious by what she was wearing. She had the proton pack strapped to her back and then her usual shorts and tank top. The fact that it was almost winter and cold as all hell outside did nothing to deter her.

This particular specter was giving her the run around, as most seemed to. At first she had followed her PKE meter but after a while she was able to follow its trail. Some of these new creatures sent her on crazy chases through the city while others blended through walks to escape her notice, luckily she had an ace up her sleeve; metaphorically speaking.

Using her Time Mage abilities she blinked to the other side of the wall, her strides never changing as she bolted after the figure. Of course, the problem with this was that she didn’t know what was on the other side of the wall. It might have just been an abandoned or closed shop but then it might be someone’s house. Not that Yuffie was all that bothered by it, her sights were only on the fiend that was trying to escape. She just hoped that she wouldn’t crash into anything.

Summary: MarKus put out flyers for hiring Heroes who have smithing experience, preferably those with the Job class, and not simply those who have 'actual experience'.

MarKus is already hard at work still hammering out building materials; tools, support structures, hinges, all that good stuff. For him and his team, it's quick work that keeps the young man and his burly crew occupied. But as shop owner, when it's time to interview for hiring, it's upon the applicant to put on his or her big boy pants and speak with him!

It marks the first time since January that Heroes of Light have appeared in Aqures Ixen.

MarKus had bee making sure to keep running more often than not to avoid someone certain, but after hours of having ditched him and not run into him again, he's given up playing evasive and gone back to being casual... at least avoiding going towards that salesman again. Really the experience left a bad taste in his mouth and he could use a good distraction.

Actually, finding someone he knew would be nice... there's no way that just he got sent to some doppelganger city of Aquares Ixen. The dates didn't make him a total believer that this was just 'the past',but he didn't have any of that dimension-slipping truth that proved or disproved it.

And then he was thinking way too much about it... just finding anyone he knew would be fine. Ramza, Kidd, Lydia... Yuffie.

Eventually he wanders his way back to where his smithy should be, only to find some other shop in it's place. Distracting evidence that it is the past...

A. Near the City Entrance

The blond arrived in the city a little behind Kidd. He hopped off of his rented chocobo and shouldered his pack. His hair and clothes still carried the scent of salt and sweat from days on a ship, and his skin had seen more sun than usual. His armor was stowed with his gear, having been too heavy to wear as he sailed.

He looked around as he returned to the city he temporarily called home. It seemed that new Heroes had appeared while he had been away, and not every face he encountered was familiar. When he saw a Hero pass, he called out a greeting.

B. A-08

Tired from his journey, Ramza headed for his home. He did not know if he would have a roommate or not, but he figured that would be something he would deal with after he bathed and slept.

He was surprised to find the door to his house unlocked. As he walked inside, he froze. The entire living space had been moved about and now resembled a pub more than a home. He looked to Simon, then around the room.

"This is...this is my house, is it not?" he asked. He had only been away a month...

Characters: MarKus Haley & his employees/entourage
Where: Just outside Aquares Ixen
When: Starting from April 6th, through until the end of the month

Summary: MarKus chooses to take his training outside the city, for the sake and sanity of those around. Also training montage!
Warnings: Fantasy Violence and Mild Language (Rated T for Teen)

MarKus has set himself up at a campsite outside Aquares Ixen, with a tent, a large fire, and an anvil. There's a few other scattered work supplies as well as specifically placed stones and dozens of iron ingots.

MarKus was just 'enlightened' to a means to infuse crystals into weapons, and to him, that means he needs to perfect that theory, lest a weapon break or otherwise explode due to not being forged properly, or mishandled and something happened he didn't suspect. He's sent out letters and spoken with people about helping work with him.

Though no true prompt exists for this post, people are welcome to come bother MarKus during his work, or help out. Mages can help heat and cool metal as he works, as well as fighters can spend time fending off monsters as they see fit. Though a "schedule" will exist for those he's agreed to employ, anyone is free to come and go as they please, either visiting daily, or camping out long-term. Characters can even start up threads that don't EVEN include MarKus! And even if you didn't speak with him about this directly, I totally encourage you to pop in as though you had before, or are just showing up now to lend a hand.

MarKus will be at this until about April 29th before packing up and going home, fully confident in his new skills!
