A Grand Opening!

Summary: It's the grand opening for Henry's Occult Store!
Warnings: None.

One the way towards the observatories, one of the buildings has suddenly become decked out in purple and black bunting. A cardboard sign says, inside a ring of eyes, says "Occult Store - GRAND OPENING". Insides a few shelves are lined with small bottles filled with liquids in various colors of black, red, and purple; a few small, unlabeled pouches; and some non-descipt dolls. A small table is set up in the middle of the room, where Henry sits behind a small pile of cupcakes. When you enter he will cheerfully say "Hi! Have a cupcake! I've cursed them with friendship, nyahaha!"

"Well, in a war you need to kill the other guy first, and nothin' better at that than a curse at 100 paces nyahaha!"

Oh. "You're a soldier? Sorry about that."

Wars really are messy affairs and ought to be avoided at all costs.

[holycrows]

Henry looks confused at Ales.

"Don't be, it was a great time! Campfire songs, seeing strange places, driving my enemies before me, betraying my country out of boredom, just a wonderful time."

[umslay]

"Out of boredom?" Betraying his country for a greater cause he could understand, but...

"So all this was fun for you?" His opinion on the dark mage was not getting any better.

[holycrows]

"Tons! If I hadn't been transported here I probably could have extended the war for months by saving the enemy leader. They seem like good people anyway. Not that my friend weren't great but they could be a bit violent and also they were all dead."

[umslay]

"...Sorry?" About the dead friends thing. But if Henry was planning to make everything worse back home, maybe it was better for his world that he was here instead. Maybe.

"Well, then," he clasped his hands together, "I'll best be on my way. Busy day, after all." He put on a nervous smile. "I'll talk with you later?"

Hopefully never.

"Sure! Want to get coffee some time?"

Henry smiles a smile that could easily be interpreted either as someone who is oblivious to the tone in the room, or someone who is all to aware of what it is.

[umslay]

Ales gives him a look that's a mix between incredulity and disgust.

"I don't drink coffee much."

[holycrows]

"That's fine, they have other things."

[umslay]

What did he get himself into? Ah, well. There's no point in antagonizing someone for no reason, especially if their products could come in handy some day.

"Sure. Then. Well. I'll be piloting an airship trip next week, so...sometime during the next month?"

[holycrows]

"Sounds like a date! Isn't there some holiday in February that everyone's supposed to go get coffee or drunk on?"

[umslay]

"I have no idea. Can other drinks be substituted?"

Though he'll have to ask Mimi about this drinking holiday.

"If so, then that's a good time." And if the cafés will be crowded for the event, Ales will feel safer.

[holycrows]

"Sure! I'm open to any type of drinks. I'm more of a juice person myself."

[umslay]

"...Alright. Toodles!" He turns to face the door and takes confident steps right outsides.

[OOC: So coffee date on the 14th?]

"Bye!"

[OOC Sure! Though I will be away most of Saturday so I can put up something Sunday morn.]
