Summary: Event log for the Imperial Parade event. This log is only for what's happening in the Imperial City-- There will be a separate log for the rescue of the new Heroes. Worried was a good feeling to have. Domestic affairs would never a fun experience, let alone when they became international. It only made things more complicated. Darres didn't have very high hopes in the peace talk, but it was better than not trying at all. At the very least, maybe they could walk out of this place with a weakness.

"Anything important. They probably have secrets they're keeping from us...and their own people for that matter."

Terra gave him a nod her eyes meeting his before glancing back down at the ground moving below them. "Everyone has secrets. Those here might be dangerous."

She looked back up with a sad smile. "Everyone should be careful." She wasn't going to tell him of her worries but she hoped that he would stay safe as well. She didn't want anyone else getting hurt.

Everyone was entitled to their own secrets. It was when the secrets became harmful to others, that he believed they should no longer be kept. Too many times secrets lead to something dangerous.

"We're in enemy territory. It was advised that we tread carefully."

Terra smiled looking over at Darres. “You’re right.” She paused for a moment before continuing.

“Have we met before?” She knew that she had seen him around but she didn’t remember if she caught his name. Her memory was fuzzy and it was getting harder to separate things in her head.

"No. I don't believe we have." He doesn't recall ever seeing a version of her in the last world he was at either.

"It's Darres. I was a royal knight in my home world."

[greenmagick]

"I'm Terra. I was a soldier in my world." Or at least she thinks she was. "It's nice to meet you Sir Knight."

She thought it proper to call people by their titles though she didn't know what a royal knight did as an occupation.

A solider? Though she didn't look it, he was sure she was formidable. People tended to underestimate female authority, but Darres knew better. With his mother as a prime example, they could just as be reliable and strong as anyone else.

"Darres will do." There was no need for formalities for him. "Do you have a preference?"

"You can call me Terra." She didn't know her tilt except for mage and in her world that wasn't a compliment. Magic was feared and only those touched by the Empire could cast it aside from monsters.

Terra smiled slightly. "Darres. It's nice to meet you." She wondered why he was heading towards the city and what he might want to find there but she wasn't one to pry.

"Likewise." He mentioned softly. "I'm still new to this thing...the jobs." Not that he wasn't capable of learning. In actuality he was catching on pretty quickly.

"The world before this one was grim in comparison. Everyone was stuck in the same tower, under the influence an guidance of the Admins. It stretched for many floors with different scenes within each one. It was still more than we had within our own worlds." Nothing like this. Not by a long a long shot. "Whether their intentions were genuine or not in wanting to help us, we were constantly spoon fed information. To the point where it was becoming dangerous not knowing what we were up against."

She listened carefully her expression unchanging as he spoke. "That sounds like it was hard." Her tone tried to remain neutral but it was obvious that she was saddened by his news.

"I don't remember much about my home. I know that there was war." Terra didn't know what compelled her to share anything about herself. Maybe because he had trusted her with information about where he had been from. She wondered if it was important some how.

Amnesia maybe? "Are you by yourself?" To be alone was one thing, but to be stranded somewhere with no memory of anything and no one turn to. He can't imagine it was an easy transition.

[greenmagick]

"I had asked Tempest to stay in the city.."

She wasn't really sure what he was asking. She was alone for the moment, though she wasn't going into the city alone. She wasn't sure where the other two were and they made her a little uneasy when she was around them.

[queensgeneral]

"Who's Tempest?"

This was his first time exchanging words with her, so he didn't know her well. Or at all.

[greenmagick]

"I'm sorry." She was still getting used to talking to others. "Tempest is my moogle. She had explained things to me when I first woke up."

Terra hoped that explained it properly not wanting to leave anything out.

[queensgeneral]

"I see." He replied subtly. "If you need assistance, don't hesitate to call for my help. No one should be forced to handle things alone."
He genuinely wanted to help her, and everyone here. But more so, he wanted to find a way to return to Ishtar who he had not meant to abandon. It was perhaps the heaviest guilt he's dragged around since witnessing her cry for the previous time that should have been the last.

Terra's lips curled into a tenative smile. "I will. Thank you."

She wasn't used to having so many willing to help her but she was glad. This world wasn't like she expected though she wasn't sure why she had expected something as awful as her dreams.
