Summary: The Heroes of Light have a shared dream— They find themselves in the body of a Hero of Light from two thousand years ago, both witnessing events and reenacting things that happened back then. But these Heroes of Light aren't just anybody; they are people from their homeworlds... And sometimes themselves. Please refer to the second OOC Post for details and plotting.

[The goddess turns towards her friend a wistful expression painted across her features. She knows what might be troubling her heart but there is little she can do about the path that lay before them. They all have their callings.

She brushes her long golden hair to the side, her fingers lightly pressing against her white dress as she addresses the girl.]

Yes. [Zelda watches through Hylia's eyes in wonder.

Where is she going? Hylia..]

You will be leaving as well.

... We both have our duties, yes.

[Her tone is serious, if not grim. This wasn't the time for her to just be "herself."]

The longer we delay, the more we will lose to the Calamity. ( "The Calamity? The hell is going on here? ... Hey, Ventuswill! Answer me!" ) Yet... I can't shake this feeling.

What feeling?

[Her head tilts to the side, her golden hair shifting as it falls in silky waves down her back. Her features stay serious though there is a soft expression in her gaze. She wants to know what her friend thinks as herself and as a hero.]

It's alright.

[Hylia's eyes stay on her as the voice echoes in her head.

This is someone you fought with?]

That... this will not end as well as we hoped. That we may lose far more precious things to us.

[Venti looks up at Hylia, her expression fading into a sad one. ... Hylia too was a friend and a dear one at that. And Venti couldn't bear to lose any more friends to the Calamity.]

... Hylia, I'll be honest. [Her gaze falls to the ground, her tone revealing one far more vulnerable.] I've... grown quite tired as of late.

[Her expression softens into a gentle smile. They have made it so far and this has been promised to be the end for better or worse. Hylia takes her words and carefully turns them over in her head before speaking.]

Soon we will all be able to rest. Once the worlds are safe.

[She isn't implying death but she knows that is equally a possibility.

Zelda's voice echoes in her thoughts. How can you be so strong?]

We have this last chance. We must believe that it will work until the end. Should we fail we will still know we've done all we could.

[She takes a deep breath, her gaze shifting to the rainy sky.]

I feel it too.

[But Hylia will never shrink away from her duties. Her own feelings will always come second to what she needs to get done. All in the name of the people that she wants to protect.]

Yes... That is all we can do, isn't it?

[Hylia certainly was strong. A lot stronger than she could've been, in all honesty. ... Venti truly admired that maturity in her and that ability to keep a strong face, no matter what either of them were feeling right now.]

My time should have came to an end long ago, and yet-- [She pauses, frowning.] it still hasn't. When I first came upon this world, that is. But if this world calls for us to protect it, then I will stand up and protect this world as well as my friends. No matter what fate might await me in the end.

( "... You're not serious. That's just-- that's stupid! Don't you even realize what you're saying?!" )

[Deep inside, it seemed like she felt the slightest hint of anger swelling up. How strange. Nevertheless, a tiny hand extends forward, before she briefly hesitates, pulling back. Then, finally relenting, she clings to a part of Hylia's sleeve, looking up to her.]

But I do have one request of you, Hylia. I want you to promise me one thing as a friend. The people here... they look up to you - they trust you. That much I have seen. So please, see this conflict to the end, if I'm unable to do so alongside you. ... I'm tired of losing my friends.

( "Dammit, stop it with all this talk. You're just being a hypocrite and you know it! If they're your friends, don't you think they don't want to lose you either?!" )

[Hylia isn't one to make promises that she can't keep. Even so, seeing the girls expression softened her heart. She sighs softly feeling Zelda's own heart shake at such a scene.

Why is this happening? No one has to die?! The crystals. You'll come back..

Somethings aren't the same and those who fight now face their mortality. They have lost many already.]

There will be a day when I will give up my life but that day isn't today. I will keep a watchful eye. I cannot promise we will all see this to it's end.

[She feels a heart inside of her break but smiles despite the rising dread.]

And remember you will not be alone.
