Where: Dreams.
When: Overnight from April 16th to April 17th.
Summary: The Heroes of Light have a shared dream— They find themselves in the body of a Hero of Light from two thousand years ago, both witnessing events and reenacting things that happened back then. But these Heroes of Light aren't just anybody; they are people from their homeworlds... And sometimes themselves. Please refer to the second OOC Post for details and plotting.

[She stops at the sound of her name turning to see the young knight walking up to her. She knows him as much as the other heroes. He's spoken to her in the past though she thought his tales to be of someone else.

Who? Am I me?

[Terra ignores the timid voice in her thoughts as her eyes fall on the boy.]

Yes. Young Knight.

[Who am I?]

Where are you going? It's too dangerous to run out there alone and without thinking things through.

[He doesn't bother to hide his concern, but he also knows that such things are unlikely to sway her from her chosen course. Pragmatism is the better argument.]

If you tell me what you're trying to do, I can probably help you formulate a plan. You must know by now that I'm pretty clever.

[Clever and strong. ~~Not really humble.~~

Man, that is a lot of words to just tell her you're worried about her...

The Onion knight manages just barely to hide his surprise at that thought. Where were these strange thoughts coming from? But he manages to keep a straight face.]

[Terra doesn't appear to catch onto his worry. Though she stops and faces him fully. The magic is so close to her now it's hard to not feel an itch to fight and release the great force.]

We have to fight. You know time is running short.

[Everyone had retreated to their homes. They were scared.

He's worried. Why not be nicer?

The voice echoes in her thoughts as her other self sees through her eyes. Why would this little knight be worried about her?]

Unless you have another idea.

[They were running out of ideas.]

[Unfortunately, he has only one other idea.]

We need to focus on stopping the one responsible for this. I doubt it will stop the crystallization, but it may spare other worlds this fate.

Hey, don't give up that easily! Maybe the bad guy can tell you how to stop it. Just beat him up until he does.

[Ugh. Now he's sure something strange is going on. But why on earth would he be hearing Bartz of all people?]

If you can find them.

[Terra sounds grim though her words are stated like a fact. Her gaze remains on the young knight remember their past together in this world. He like others claim to know her or understand her but then how do they understand?

They are trying to.. I'm trying to understand you too. Can't you let someone in?

The voice echoes in her thoughts and for the first time in years the static esper felt a pain in her chest. It couldn't be her own because she knows without a doubt that she isn't human.]

How?

[Her question spoken allowed as her eyes widen in shock.]

[He can't quite hide the surprised expression on his face. It was usually a lot harder to get this Terra to open up like that. Quickly, he continues.]

I'll admit that is our biggest problem right now. But with the current rate of crystallization, he's running out of places to hide. At the very least, we can start narrowing it down.

[The Esper feels a growl rising in her chest but Terra pushes it away. She doesn’t want to be mean or short with the boy. He looks hopeful and sweet.

Her claws twitch as the young night pushes forward with the conversation. Light dances at her finger tips becoming charged with the air around them. She can feel the imbalance of power as the world slowly slips into chaos.]

There are enough of us to split up.

[She doesn’t know what compels her to talk of plans or strategies but she tries to force the feeling away. This isn’t time to feel.]

[Terra is proving to be a lot more talkative today that she usually is. In the past, she'd have brushed him off by now. The Onion Knight doesn't quite know what to make of the change. You want her to talk to you, right? So don't worry about it so much.

True. There's no sense in looking the proverbial gift horse in the mouth. He nods in response to her statement.]

You're right. It wouldn't be difficult to find him at all if we have enough people looking. And I suspect he's probably near the line of crystallization. That way he could watch his handiwork and be close enough to respond if we happened to find a way to thwart his plans.

[She isn't sure why she is talking so much. She found the young knights ideals exhausting. Who can live up to such things?

We can! Together.

That voice again. Terra looks towards the knight, her eyes glowing slightly as magic thrills through her body.]

It's dangerous to be close. Just because we know we shouldn't lose out guards.

[It is a simple enough answer but she doesn't know why she is prolonging the conversation. She usually doesn't like talking to the other heroes.]

[He nods again, relieved that she seems to be on the same page.]

It is. Which is why our best bet would be to search in small groups. Going out alone is just asking for trouble.

[The introverted Esper has thought about setting out alone many times. Then she won’t hurt anyone and won’t have to pretend she is more than the monster she is. Her in-human gaze settles on the young knight before shaking her head slow.

That small voice has gone quiet and so she is left only with her dark thoughts.]

I believe that is the case. Some are safer alone.

[You won’t get hurt, nor will you hurt anyone.

I don’t want to be alone.]

[Safer alone, huh? So she still intended to fight on her own. He knew she was strong, but.... he's still worried.

Just tell her you'll go with her. ]

I'll go with you. Um, if you want.

[Ugh. He's not sure why he just blurted that out. The boy isn't usually this forward. But now that he has...]

You know how strong I am. Between the two of us, we can handle anything out there.

[Terra shakes her head looking away from the young knight. It is sweet of him to offer but she might not be able to control herself. The magic in the air is humming and scrapping against her nerves. There is no saying what might happen.

Isn't he strong too?]

You have your own mission.

[Her in-human eyes met his and then the words slip from her lips before she can stop them.]

I'll meet you back here.

R-right.

[He'd been expecting her to turn him down. What comes as a surprise was the promise to return. It feels like he's finally gotten through to her, maybe even fostered some trust, if only a little. The boy can't help but smile.]

I'll see you then.

[The smile stirs something within Terra that she doesn't recognize as her own. Her eyes glance away obviously feeling uncomfortable from the exchange.]

Yes.

[Terra turns away and begins walking down the hall listening to the soft voice in her thoughts.

Was that so hard?]
