Summary: The Heroes of Light have a shared dream— They find themselves in the body of a Hero of Light from two thousand years ago, both witnessing events and reenacting things that happened back then. But these Heroes of Light aren't just anybody; they are people from their homeworlds... And sometimes themselves. Please refer to the second OOC Post for details and plotting.

Yes.

[Hylia turns with a light smile. She respects the way that Thancred stays positive through all this even though they've lost friends and companions through their fight. She can feel that this is the end.

Zelda's voice rang clearly in her mind. Why is it the end? There was something that was unclear. As if some information missing and Zelda couldn't make sense of it. Yet as the dream continued she became more and more aware.]

Have you prepared for battle?

Of course. And with any luck, it should be enough to help us prevail.

[act as though it isn't, and it might well be the case. He's well used to pushing back dread, at least.]

Still no clues as to what's got it so excited?

No.

[Lack of information is something the heroes suffer her as well. Hylia knows of their mission and isn't one to shrink away but she don't know the nature of the calamity in which they fight.

It isn't the darkness she is used to but she knows it to be evil.]

This will be our last stand.

[It isn't dread that makes Hylia speak those words and it isn't pessimism. She believes they can do it and her confidence is steady but it is their last fight; either way they finally get to rest.]

[at least there haven't been sightings of any Ascians (to the best of Thancred's knowledge). That's small comfort, though.

It is truth, though it gives him pause. Without knowing more, the odds are still somewhat against them.]

Best we set out ready to give it our all, then. [he smiles, as convincingly as he can.] I trust you're ready as well, my lady?

I am. Thank you.

[She inclines her head to the young man with a smile. In times like these it is best to smile. She wants to give the heroes hope even if it's a small one.]

Please be safe.

[Hylia's voice grew a little more serious. She has valued Thancred over their time together and she doesn't want him or others to be lost to this battle.

I wish to keep them safe too...]

[and he has done his best to stay- if not safe, then at least in one piece, even if it's more for the sake of his companions than himself. If they were in trouble, though-

He pushes that thought away, though, with a shake of his head.]

We'll see each other again at the end of this, Hylia. Count on it.

[Hylia laughs softly at that shaking her head slightly.]

I suppose your right. I look forward to meeting you when all of this is done.

[Her eyes shift from the man next to her up towards the falling rain. She doesn't want to think of it as a omen but then everything these days appeared to stack against them. She hopes that they can all return safely.

Would it be okay to give your life for that?

Hylia's smile grows wistful at Zelda's question. Yes She isn't able to completely hide the emotions that the sweet voice inside her invoked.]

It's been an honor.

I feel that ought to be my line, my lady.

[after all, changes in circumstances notwithstanding, she was originally a goddess, and he is… he is himself.

He offers her a bow, brows ceasing for a moment as disappointment and concern sweeps through him- not his own, he recognises that. It's familiar, though- he wonders how in the instant before he straightens again, with a smile.]

[Hylia inclines her head in return before turning away from the man. He is someone she trusts and has grown to admire over their time together. She doesn't notice his worry nor does Zelda know him.]
