Intro Log || The Night of the Thirteen Moogles

Characters: All the "Heroes of Light" (only new characters can start threads).
Where: Aqures Ixen.
When: The 5th of October. The new Heroes of Light will awaken early in the morning.
Summary: The new Heroes of Light awaken in Aqures Ixen and are informed by their assigned Moogles of what the situation and what their destinies are. This a log for them to react to the situation, meet each other and be welcomed by the former batches of Heroes of Light. New Heroes of Light will not have their Crystal.

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within an instant, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you knew it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had, are now gone. It is silent, cold and it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you.

At this moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:


"Wake up."

Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by distant noises of engines. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call one more time, but is soon replaced with a much less graceful "Wake up Kupo," the call of the Moogle finally waking you up. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Fire, in the third district of a city called Aqures Ixen. At this point, you may realize the engine noise actually originates from an Airship flying low over the city and headed to the castle. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding. Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures who are more than happy to tell you about everything you want to know, about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light, about what awaits you.

Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.

The only people around you are like you-- There are quite a few of them, all clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. If somehow you do not realize it, the Moogle who woke you up will be more than happy to inform you there are others like you around. In fact, there are other Heroes who arrived these past months too and they will come soon! Like you, they had Jobs and a Crystal-- Wait, you don't have a Crystal...? That's weird.

Your Moogle will be puzzled by this fact, as all Heroes of Light are supposed to have a crystal with them. Well, maybe you are not a Hero of Light after all?


The Other Heroes
— Shortly Thereafter —
Thanks to the efficiency of Mognet, it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around: those who arrived in this world one or two months ago. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you that there were other Heroes of Light in this city. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers worthy of being revered as heroes. And more importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have all the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.

If so, you may be up for a minor disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.


The Night of the Thirteen Moogles
— Anytime —
Something that may be obvious, is that the city has a spooky feel to it. There are various decorations, it clearly looks like a work in progress but it seems the idea is to make the city looks as scary as possible. Characters familiar with Halloween may recognize the decoration as being strikingly similar. The Moogles will be more than pleased to explain these are all preparations for the upcoming Night of the Thirteen Moogles on the 31st, and they will explain the legends to characters if they ask.

Hopefully all this talk of curse and King Moggle Mog is nothing more than legend.


The City of Aqures Ixen
— Anytime —
There are a lot of things left to do in the city, especially with everyone excited for the upcoming celebration. Starting from 18:00, a series of BLitzball games will take place at the stadium located in the tenth district, opposing amateur teams in a friendly competition. At the same time, a small group of Triple Triad players are playing before Mognet Office in the ninth district, and they are more than happy to teach the rule to anyone passing by. Characters are free to enter and play games of Triple Triad, and if they do so they will be given very basic cards and explained the rules. This may be the start of a promising career!

Characters are also free to visit the city-- Be it Mognet Office just behind the Triple Triad games is filled with very busy Moogles, or the Airship Port in the twelfth district from where characters can board for free Airships from Shoopuf Airline, knowing the next airship departing from Aqures Ixen will do so on the 9th. Still, characters can board an exposition Airship should they like and visit it.

Or maybe you could visit your new house in the 11th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with.

Ramza nodded. He smiled a little at the sign. Black Chocobos could be a fierce enemy. It seemed a good name for a tavern.

"I have dined in less reputable establishments," Ramza told the other soldier. If The Black Chocobo did not have an underground poaching ring running out of the back room, it would not even fall in the top five. "This will do just fine."

"You shouldn't go back then. You can always stay with me." She smiled and pointed a single finger confidently into the air. Her smile widened at his last comment into a toothy grin. It was exciting to see Zack again.

"I might have." With that, Yuffie moved to disappear in the crowd.

Her head tilted to the side as she smiled. "My name is Zelda. What's yours?" It was nice to meet someone who was so straight forward when they spoke.

"...Hm...I can't honestly say that I would know the answer to that one." Kairi admitted, not having a single clue, but deep down having hope that even if they were there things would always go well.

It wasn't long till she looked up at the sky, her thoughts wondering all over the place as she did. They had brought up a very good point and it was something she knew she was going to think of for a while yet.

"But we might never know, so... thinking positive helps, you know."

"Otto's...Irresistible Dance? Is that some type of dancing spell? or at least something that has to do with dancing?" She asked thinking that the answer seemed pretty obvious, but she wondered what makes it so 'irresistible.'

"As for new, yes I am new. Not been here long."

"I've never had to." Her voice sounded factual but in earnest she was confused; running never seemed important until now.

Angeal watched the changes of expression and it was a comfort to know that this was the Zack he remembered. His outspoken and carefree nature helped Angeal on more than one occasion to lift his spirits or to slap him back down when he felt that he was being too serious or lofty. He leaned forward with his hands folded on the table top with a soft smile that he showed only to his friends. Zack was one of those friends now that he didn't have to teach him any more.

They were equals now, and that was all that Angeal could ever hope for. He wanted to tell Zack more about what happened but the issue was getting around his own stubborn nature to reveal the reasons on his end. He chuckled anyway about the messes and shook his head. "Don't ever change."

Perhaps he said those words to help with his own stability, but there was something behind those words that he knew wasn't always possible. Events happen to change a person for the better or for the worse. He didn't want to dwell on those negative thoughts. The discovery that Hollander was his father didn't set well with him at all. He found the scientist disgusting and it showed slightly on his brow.

"I suppose all that's left to do now is to get you settled. Any questions?"

Kairi slowly went and moved her arms behind her back as she listened. To be honest she knew these things existed, but she still couldn't help but be surprised herself. After all it might be similar but she had never had magic before... at least that's what she believed.

"I guess for me it would be a first time, but never the less I know monsters exist, they just aren't the same here I don't think. It would be obvious." After all if heartless were here it would be obvious by now, but they weren't.

"No questions, I'm sure I'll be able to learn as I go, but still. There are such things as different kinds of swords?"

Other Heroes

"Sort of." Zelda frowned slightly and tilted her head to the side. It was confusing when she thought of home, she didn't have anything happy to look forward to at home.

her expression shifted into a pleasant smile. "I think we should all do things that comfort us. It's strange being here."

"I'm just used to thinking on what is true but I will try." Positive thinking wasn't usually realistic. Yeul followed Kairi's eyes up towards the sky.

Hibi tugged on Yeul's shirt. "This way. Your house is close."

"Plane legs, huh." Cyborgs were a weird breed, but to each their own. "Well, at least you even know what a robot is, which is already better than most of the folks in these parts. If I need somethin' done, I'll let ya know."

Sparks looks at his plans again, then at his work. "...Don't know anythin' about construction, do ya."

"Can I? Reckon I could if I wanted to, but I don't. Got a lot more important things to worry about than who's got more money than me. Like gettin' home, for one."

Then what about gettin' home? Or you okay with this whole cosmic kidnappin' scheme?

[Why does he say it like that? Who knows. Sure sounds dramatic.]

Ain't heard of Gotham, though. And there's lots of us heroes here. Looks like more showin' up is gonna be a regular thing, I guess.

"Of course you're from Earth, where else would you be from? I mean if you were from space you'd probably look different, like not human."

"Airships..." She had to admit she hadn't seen an airship yet even with her small amount of exploration, but he did mention that to could stay afloat, so she couldn't help but wonder something.

"Are you trying to say that it continuously stays afloat or something else? Because in my world we have things that float through the skies too."

She kept walking till the fork in the road as she started to wonder where she was going to head next. She could go and see where she'll be living or she could go the other route and see what would happen.

"Well, I did think I should at least do some research but at the same time I should go see my new living arrangements. It's quite a hard choice."

"I see." She felt like that should be that, but deep down she really was the type that wanted to do things. But for now she guessed she could leave things alone.

"I should probably think about going to explore some more, or at least see where I'm going to be living, but it was nice to meet you."

Bloom crossed her arms over her chest as it passed her mind quietly. She had to admit she hadn't seen many of others who were new like her so she couldn't honestly say if she was the only one or not. Frowning slightly she h=gave a small sigh.

"I haven't seen anyone else, so I couldn't say if I am or not, but I do know that odds are likely this might not be the only case." She felt like it was safe to assume such things after all.

"That is true. That's why we'll do our best to solve the puzzle. That's the most simple thing to do after all, right?" She paused once more to think a few things over.

"I honestly think we can trust these moogles. I don't think they have a single bad bone in their body" She said honestly as she looked back at them, Daphne starting to wonder what they were talking about.

"I mean, after all they gave us what they knew that we otherwise wouldn't have."

"That I can understand," She gave a small smile, it was good to know there really were others who protected people who couldn't protect themselves from the dangers in the world.

"You mean the decoration, right? It looks like it could be for some kind of holiday...I thought it might be Halloween, but moogles say it's something else."

Tour? I may have been here for a month, but not enough to know every single place. So I will show you to the places I know, okay?

[She was going to do her best never the less. Even though she wasn't the best at it. taking a few steps ahead, she started to walk.]

I guess the first stop is where we all end up where we first arrive. It's a very pretty place... [She had started to talk when she stopped to turn her head and look at the other.]

Your not surprised? I mean I was very surprised. This doesn't happen at home.

"Lady Tifa? That's a new one. Just call me "Tifa". I'm no royalty, but I appreciate the sentiment."

A slight blush comes to her cheeks as she laughs at the way Ramza addresses her.

"It's possible there's something large going on here. Not sure exactly what, but if this world is looking for some one to save it, then I guess they weren't wrong in pulling the both of us here. I'm not sure what you're capable of, good sir, but I imagine having the courage to stand up against an order like a Church is something this world might need."

Tifa looks to the other moogle, bringing a finger to her own chin as she ponders.

"Has anyone here seen the Queen? I can't vouch for her, but I've only heard little details about her."

Tifa doesn't hear the last part of Zack's response as she was left hanging off the mountain of a surprise he'd divulged. Chances are that there had been some one else he had mentioned, a name quite similar in sound and pronunciation than the man she had hoped would stay far away from this realm. She doesn't dare ask for him to repeat himself, taking the time that would be used to ask to keep her balance as she feels dread overtake her thoughts.

"He's.. He's here?!"

Zack doesn't seem all to fazed with the idea of Sephiroth being here, as far as Tifa can tell at least. Had Sephiroth arrived here from a different point in time as well?

"Where is he?! Has he been near Cloud?! He hasn't tried to harm anyone yet, has he?"!

"O-Oi!"

Luffy reached out to try and catch the falling woman, putting his arms out so that he doesn't touch her but that if she needed something to hold on to his limbs would be there.

"You okay?"

He watches as she winces, unsure if he had anything to do with how off she looks.

"Sorry! I can get loud some times. Are you okay?"

"That's good. It's quite a nice place once you get your bearings. Tons of shops, a well stocked library, and a lot of Heroes around who'd be happy to help you with anything."

She picked up a book from the coffee table and flipped to a two-page spread of the world map.

"An island home, huh? I used to live on one back home too. It's quite an eye-opener when you take that first step out of the door. Well, this is just only the city. I haven't gone outside of it just yet but this world is pretty huge."
