Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within an instant, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you knew it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had, are now gone. It is silent, cold and it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you.
At this moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:
"Wake up."
Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by distant noises of engines. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call one more time, but is soon replaced with a much less graceful "Wake up Kupo," the call of the Moogle finally waking you up. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Fire, in the third district of a city called Aqures Ixen. At this point, you may realize the engine noise actually originates from an Airship flying low over the city and headed to the castle. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding. Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures who are more than happy to tell you about everything you want to know, about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light, about what awaits you.
Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.
The only people around you are like you-- There are quite a few of them, all clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. If somehow you do not realize it, the Moogle who woke you up will be more than happy to inform you there are others like you around. In fact, there are other Heroes who arrived these past months too and they will come soon! Like you, they had Jobs and a Crystal-- Wait, you don't have a Crystal...? That's weird.
Your Moogle will be puzzled by this fact, as all Heroes of Light are supposed to have a crystal with them. Well, maybe you are not a Hero of Light after all?
The Other Heroes
— Shortly Thereafter —
Thanks to the efficiency of Mognet, it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around: those who arrived in this world one or two months ago. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you that there were other Heroes of Light in this city. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers worthy of being revered as heroes. And more importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have all the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.
If so, you may be up for a minor disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.
The Night of the Thirteen Moogles
— Anytime —
Something that may be obvious, is that the city has a spooky feel to it. There are various decorations, it clearly looks like a work in progress but it seems the idea is to make the city looks as scary as possible. Characters familiar with Halloween may recognize the decoration as being strikingly similar. The Moogles will be more than pleased to explain these are all preparations for the upcoming Night of the Thirteen Moogles on the 31st, and they will explain the legends to characters if they ask.
Hopefully all this talk of curse and King Moggle Mog is nothing more than legend.
The City of Aqures Ixen
— Anytime —
There are a lot of things left to do in the city, especially with everyone excited for the upcoming celebration. Starting from 18:00, a series of BLitzball games will take place at the stadium located in the tenth district, opposing amateur teams in a friendly competition. At the same time, a small group of Triple Triad players are playing before Mognet Office in the ninth district, and they are more than happy to teach the rule to anyone passing by. Characters are free to enter and play games of Triple Triad, and if they do so they will be given very basic cards and explained the rules. This may be the start of a promising career!
Characters are also free to visit the city-- Be it Mognet Office just behind the Triple Triad games is filled with very busy Moogles, or the Airship Port in the twelfth district from where characters can board for free Airships from Shoopuf Airline, knowing the next airship departing from Aqures Ixen will do so on the 9th. Still, characters can board an exposition Airship should they like and visit it.
Or maybe you could visit your new house in the 11th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with.

Kairi couldn't help but notice the decorations. It seemed like it was October here, or at least it was a sheer guess since the decorations seemed very similar to Halloween, but when she had asked Blaze about it she found out that it was called something completely different.
Curious Kairi had stopped walking and had chosen to sit down and let the moogles tell her the tales which brought about this holiday and she seemed rather happy to just simply listen and smile. After all it sounded like an interesting tale they had to share and stories were always quite fun to tell.
City of Aqures Ixen
When all was said and done, Kairi knew what she had to do. Explore and hope that she could find her way quick enough. Sure her mind wandered off to back home and what and who she was leaving behind, but at the same time she understood that she was brought here for a reason. She couldn't just turn her back on that could she?
With her new companion by her side she looked around at all the buildings and could easily be found look at various stores among other things, getting a better idea of the place.
When that is done, she could be found walking towards her new place, hands behind her back and a small smile on her face. She had to admit she was a little excited for helping out and even seeing who she was roomed with.
City of Aqures Ixen
Catching sight of new people - both Hero and Moogle - she flew over to Blaze and happily waved a paw at him in greeting. "Hi! Did you just get a new Hero today? There are so many people here, kupo!"
A few feet behind her, Gaara pressed his lips together in a brief show of exasperation. Somewhat reluctantly, he stepped forward to catch up with his Moogle, and then... stared at the girl in mild surprise. "...Kairi."
He had seen her before, at the facility. She was friends with Sora and Riku, from their island. Most likely, she wouldn't remember who he was... unless this version was from the same world.

This made Kairi feel a bit sorry, but at the same time she had felt like a kid in a candy store, being on a new world and honestly wondering if it was her chance to help out even considering what she was suppose to be doing before she got here. She figured that hadn't been the case exactly. They still needed her help but she wasn't sent here by the person who was suppose to train her.
As she was about to speak she looked over, hearing her name being called and seeing the sight of someone... she didn't recognize. Curious as to how they would know her name without her mentioning it she at least will apologize for not remembering someone. "That is my name, but I'm sorry. I have no idea who you are, but I'll be happy to get to know you."
no subject
In all honesty, he wasn’t surprised by her reaction. After being in three different worlds already, he had come across multiple versions of people. He needed to accept the fact that his original friends were no longer around. The question was… did he consider it worthwhile to start over and befriend them again? Since there was that dangerous risk of being forgotten, once more.
Despite being usually stern, Gaara tried to soften his expression a little, for her sake. From what he remembered, Kairi was gentler, compared to the other two boys. Just as resilient and strong, when it came to adversity, but her nature carried a great deal of kindness.
“My name is Gaara.” A brief pause as he wondered how he should explain his background… or if she would even believe him, for that matter. “I am… or rather, I was, a friend of Sora’s, at a previous location. I was also acquainted with Riku.”
no subject
Kairi had gone back to paying attention to the other now that she had sorted out her moogle in terms of interaction. Which she thought was a good thing to learn honestly.
"Nice to meet you, Gaara." She had said before her eyes widen slightly. She knew that Sora would travel and he went to many worlds, but she would have never thought she would meet someone he has met previously. It was quite exciting for her. "You've met my friends? They were good to you, right?" She asked knowing full well they would be, but she couldn't help but ask such a question.
The night of the Thirteen Moogles
Kupola flew behind her, his green hat blowing in the gentle breeze. He was eating something that looked as if it was shaped like a bat.

Because playing pranks on your friends is always in good taste and fun. After all Sora and Riku would always see the funny side of it and of course would always join in. "I've been told a bit about it by Blaze here. It's quite an interesting story about the holiday, don't you think?"
Night of Moogles
"I must admit some of the decorations are a bit scary." It was obvious that Zelda was kidding by her smile.

"It most certainly sounds like a happy time. After all harvest is the time for crops to be cut down and made into various foods, or at least this is what I assume."

Around the city
"Just get out there and fight some monsters, kupo! You can make money easy!" His moogle commented, fluttering over his shoulder.
"Not until I get some better armor, Mako. Going out there as a mage is just begging for trouble, and all I have for the new one is that weird sword." Cloud was deep in argument with his moogle. He hadn't noticed Kairi entering the shop.
no subject
"Excuse me, kupo!" He said as Kairi just stood there for a moment "I'm sorry, I know you two were having an argument which I'm sure can be resolved quite easily. What is it exactly that is the problem?" She didn't expect her to get involved but deep down she couldn't help it.
no subject
"I have a defective Hero, kupo. He talks about wanting to make a name for himself, but he doesn't want to go out adventuring. When he first got here he kept yelling at me about getting the wrong job too, Kupo!" Cloud reached up and shoved the fluffball out of the way.
"I don't want to get myself killed. I need better gear first! And I told you! It was because magic works differently here than at home!" His eyes turned to Kairi and then quickly away, "Sorry you have to see this."
no subject
Never the left she crossed her arms over her chest, Blaze keeping close by. "Wrong job? What jobs did you think were wrong? And why is actually a good question." She paused once again, was that really the best thing to ask?
"I'm sure you have enough time how to learn magic, right? I know a friend who learnt how to use magic quickly, or at least I assume that anyway so it shouldn't be too hard in this case."
no subject
"Well now your new job HAS a sword, doesn't it kupo! So quit your bellyaching!" Mako had a nicely smug expression on his face as he fluttered in the air with his paws on his hips.
no subject
She couldn't help however but give a small chuckle at the other moogle being so smug. "I guess if that is true you should be fine, but did it mean you couldn't use one before?"
no subject
He briefly got a far off look on his face as he thought about home, but it was quickly shaken off, "I've practiced a bit with a sword. Just not one of this style." He looked to Kairi once more, trying to deflect the topic, "What about you? Any questions about this place?"

City of Aqures Ixen
"Ah, hello there! Looks like we're going to be housemates. My name's Saori. What's yours?"
no subject
"Ah, hello. I'm Kairi. It's nice to meet you and I hope we get along as housemates well." She said happily before turning to look at Blaze for a moment. "This here is Blaze, he's the moogle that is staying with me. He can get a little grumpy but he isn't mean."
no subject
"It's nice to meet you, Kairi and Blaze. Come on in. I'll show you around inside," Saori warmly smiled and lead the way to the house. The inside is very well kept and homely. She always took some time to keep the house clean between jobs and spending hours in the library. The coffee table in the living room has a pile of books she was into. "So, did you have time to explore the city since you arrived?"
no subject
Kairi gave a warm smile as she headed inside, Blaze following in close behind her so he could see her just in case she decided to suddenly bolt again for one reason or another. She couldn't help but have a tiny look around the place; the place that she would be calling home for the time being. It seemed nice and very tidy, more tidy than some places she knew of.
"I have had a wonder around. This place is much bigger than my little island at home. About five times as big actually."
no subject
She picked up a book from the coffee table and flipped to a two-page spread of the world map.
"An island home, huh? I used to live on one back home too. It's quite an eye-opener when you take that first step out of the door. Well, this is just only the city. I haven't gone outside of it just yet but this world is pretty huge."
no subject
"You use to live in an island too?" She asked surprised that she wasn't the only one at least, but at the same time she was kind of happy too. "You haven't gone outside the city? I am curious, but would you want to?"
