Intro Log || The Night of the Thirteen Moogles

Characters: All the "Heroes of Light" (only new characters can start threads).
Where: Aqures Ixen.
When: The 5th of October. The new Heroes of Light will awaken early in the morning.
Summary: The new Heroes of Light awaken in Aqures Ixen and are informed by their assigned Moogles of what the situation and what their destinies are. This a log for them to react to the situation, meet each other and be welcomed by the former batches of Heroes of Light. New Heroes of Light will not have their Crystal.

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within an instant, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you knew it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had, are now gone. It is silent, cold and it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you.

At this moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:

"Wake up."

Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by distant noises of engines. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call one more time, but is soon replaced with a much less graceful "Wake up Kupo," the call of the Moogle finally waking you up. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Fire, in the third district of a city called Aqures Ixen. At this point, you may realize the engine noise actually originates from an Airship flying low over the city and headed to the castle. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding. Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures who are more than happy to tell you about everything you want to know, about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light, about what awaits you.

Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.

The only people around you are like you-- There are quite a few of them, all clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. If somehow you do not realize it, the Moogle who woke you up will be more than happy to inform you there are others like you around. In fact, there are other Heroes who arrived these past months too and they will come soon! Like you, they had Jobs and a Crystal-- Wait, you don't have a Crystal...? That's weird.

Your Moogle will be puzzled by this fact, as all Heroes of Light are supposed to have a crystal with them. Well, maybe you are not a Hero of Light after all?

The Other Heroes
— Shortly Thereafter —
Thanks to the efficiency of Mognet, it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around: those who arrived in this world one or two months ago. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you that there were other Heroes of Light in this city. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers worthy of being revered as heroes. And more importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have all the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.

If so, you may be up for a minor disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.

The Night of the Thirteen Moogles
— Anytime —
Something that may be obvious, is that the city has a spooky feel to it. There are various decorations, it clearly looks like a work in progress but it seems the idea is to make the city looks as scary as possible. Characters familiar with Halloween may recognize the decoration as being strikingly similar. The Moogles will be more than pleased to explain these are all preparations for the upcoming Night of the Thirteen Moogles on the 31st, and they will explain the legends to characters if they ask.

Hopefully all this talk of curse and King Moggle Mog is nothing more than legend.

The City of Aqures Ixen
— Anytime —
There are a lot of things left to do in the city, especially with everyone excited for the upcoming celebration. Starting from 18:00, a series of BLitzball games will take place at the stadium located in the tenth district, opposing amateur teams in a friendly competition. At the same time, a small group of Triple Triad players are playing before Mognet Office in the ninth district, and they are more than happy to teach the rule to anyone passing by. Characters are free to enter and play games of Triple Triad, and if they do so they will be given very basic cards and explained the rules. This may be the start of a promising career!

Characters are also free to visit the city-- Be it Mognet Office just behind the Triple Triad games is filled with very busy Moogles, or the Airship Port in the twelfth district from where characters can board for free Airships from Shoopuf Airline, knowing the next airship departing from Aqures Ixen will do so on the 9th. Still, characters can board an exposition Airship should they like and visit it.

Or maybe you could visit your new house in the 11th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with.

"I believe it is something to do with their king who went crazy." She said looking at Blaze for conformation, who gave a small nod. She was right to an extent at least.

"It's quite an interesting tale and gives us an understanding of these cute little guys."

Yeul stood with her arms at her sides, her expression showing her confusion. Why would they celebrate a mad king. More questions spin around her head as her eyes took in the decorations. "What's Halloween then?"

"Ah, Halloween in my world originally was based on something, but I can't remember what. But in the modern day it's about trick or treating, playing pranks and scaring one another. It's basically a night of fright. I find it to be fun, especially when you get to dress up and go trick or treating."

As she explained it she wondered if she need to explain everything she just mentioned. She assumed the girl would have no idea after all.

It was nothing she has heard of before, then again her world was dying and didn't really have time for celebrations. "What costumes do you wear? Can I wear one?"

Her first thoughts went to Caius and trying to dress him up in a costume but she quickly discarded the thought.

"Of course you could if you wanted. I know many people wear different thing. Like witches, werewolves, vampires. Anything is considered a costume if it comes from fiction as well." Kairi admitted she would dress up as a witch if she could. But in her new clothes that she knew she wasn't wearing before she got here they could probably count.

"I guess even the clothes we arrived in could cunt if they aren't what you wore originally."

Yeul looked down at her own attire, it was close to what she wore back at home but without her usual beads and bracelets. "I see. Could I dress up like a moogle then?"

She didn't want to admit that she really didn't understand everything this girl was saying but she got the basic idea.

"You could, though I'm not sure how you could do that. I'd be able to help you figure it out if you want to dress up as one." She had to admit though it sounded like a good idea and a cute one at that. People dressing up as cute little moogles.

Blaze however wasn't as amused as Kairi was.

"It's alright if I can't, I would like to learn more about these holidays." Her eyes glanced around once again at the setting around them. She wondered what this place looked like without the decorations, did it still have that strange feeling to it?

Her moogle flew over and hovered next to Yeul. "I think it would be best to go find your house before it gets late, kupo."

"I'm sure your moogle friend could tell you more" She spotted the one she assumed that was the one assigned to her, she figured that they could tell her more about the holiday that they celebrated rather than her having to explain something she only knew a tiny bit about.

"Ah, I was thinking of walking to mine, so why don't we all walk together until we have to go our separate ways?"

Yeul gave her a nod and looks over at her moogle. She suddenly looked more child like than before as she addresses her fluffy flying friend. "Will you tell me the story?"

Hibi nodded. "When we get home, kupo."

She looked back at Kairi before setting off towards the 14th district. "Lets go then." Yeul roughly knew the way because her moogle had given her directions earlier in case she got lost.

Kairi was happy to simply follow all the while wondering just what the living arrange would look like on both the outside and inside. She at least knew it would be somewhat different than what she was use to never the less.

"What do you think of this place so far?"

"It's different. I'm not used to it." Her eyes advert down for a moment as she thinks about what she has loss and what she has gained from arriving here. It was complicated for the young seeress and she didn't really know how to take it just yet.

She looked over at Kairi for a moment. "I don't dislike it."

"So long as you don't dislike it, it's a good thing, right?" She said with a small smile. At least that is what she figured anyway.

"But at least you'll get use to it soon, I'm sure. After all being in another world can be fun, I'm sure of it."

"You've been to another world then?" It was a curious thing to think about. Maybe this other world was why she felt like she was outside of the timeline. She felt disconnected and maybe it wasn't a bad thing, if she could live here with Caius and still be safe.

She slowly followed Hibi as the moogle guided her to her new home.

"Yes, though both times they weren't... really by choice." she said admitting to the fact that she had gone to other worlds but the first time she was out cold for most of it due to losing her heart and the other was by Axel trying to kidnap her, which he managed to after a while.

She was never mad, she was okay with it as it mean going away like they had wanted. "Did you not know of other worlds."

"There are always possibilities but they aren't my concern. I shouldn't have been taken from my world." Yeul shouldn't have been able to be taken because she was tied to the goddess. Did it mean that the goddess has completely lost her powers? There were to many questions for the young girl to think through.

"Shouldn't have?" Kairi asked wondering what exactly the young girl had meant by those words, but knowing it might have been for some very important reason.

"Does that mean you had something important to do back home?"

Yeul gave Kairi a nod as they walked towards their new homes. It was hard for her to fully explain her place at home but she wanted to help correct the time line and to do that she had to be there to meet Sarah and Noel.

Her eyes watched the city as they walked into the housing area. "I wonder what happened to my world now that I am here." She couldn't see it anymore and it was worrying.

"...Hm...I can't honestly say that I would know the answer to that one." Kairi admitted, not having a single clue, but deep down having hope that even if they were there things would always go well.

It wasn't long till she looked up at the sky, her thoughts wondering all over the place as she did. They had brought up a very good point and it was something she knew she was going to think of for a while yet.

"But we might never know, so... thinking positive helps, you know."

"I'm just used to thinking on what is true but I will try." Positive thinking wasn't usually realistic. Yeul followed Kairi's eyes up towards the sky.

Hibi tugged on Yeul's shirt. "This way. Your house is close."

"I understand thinking on what is true, but... I don't think it would be easy to know it here though." She soon moved her eyes and looked at the other, it seems they were close and Kairi had to walk another way.

"It was nice meeting you anyway, I hope that we'll see each other again."

Yeul smiled up at the girl. "Me too." It was an unexpected conversation for the young girl but she enjoyed it. It gave her more to think on.

Hibi waved and Yeul turned to follow the moogle down the street.
