Summary: After a not entirely complimentary first meeting between Vincent and MarKus, the gunslinger needs to go to the blacksmith. He's taking Yuffie along as a buffer. This can only endwell poorly.
Vincent had done some research, and it seemed Haley's Anvil represented his best option within Aquares Ixen. Not that the owner had made that great an impression on him, during their first meeting at Trano Golsaucia. Then again, most people knew you do NOT grab for a person's gun without warning them. Better still, you ask them.
Which was part of why Vincent was taking Yuffie with him. Yuffie, for all her care-free spirit and glibness, did understand attachment to things. Further, as much as she was his opposite, she DID understand Vincent enough to know what both Death Penalty and his gauntlet represented and meant to him. She could, at times, even display surprising maturity and sensitivity about matters requiring them.
So he'd asked for her company, and now they were headed to the blacksmith's. Death Penalty is holstered at his hip, but he's not in his garb for his jobs. Dark clothing, and the dark-brown long jacket he'd procured that mostly covered his gauntlet with its sleeves. Ophelia had fluttered behind them for a bit, before deciding she was not interested this time in dealing with rude Heroes.
