Where: Aqures Tosf.
When: Night of August 03rd, twenty-eight years in the past.
Summary: As the Heroes of Light were transported to the past, it is now the conclusion of their time travel adventure. It is the final night of the Festival of Light and the city is filled with visitors-- As such, it is estimated there are currently at least a few million people on the Island. Can they be saved?
Warning: Terrible things.

I'm fine! What are you doing here?

[ And she took down a monster of her own with a swipe or two of her katana. ]

I know this place is about to be destroyed, but people need to be saved!

[wickedone]

This place was destroyed twenty eight years in the past!

[Another monster was kicked away then speared, the katana yanked back with a spurt of blood.]

Trying to save these people is pointless!

[Couldn't she see? These people were already dead! Interfering now could potentially make things worse later, if it made a difference at all. They had to move, now, lest they be destroyed with the city! They had to get to the temple, to the crystal, and hope that there was some chance of it sending them home!]

I KNOW!

[ She knows that. Knows that their futures have already been decided. And also knows that their arrival can't just be horrible coincidence. Taking out her own monster, she turns to him with a growl. ]

That doesn't mean they don't deserve every last second of life we can give them!

[ If they were responsible for this, then it's the least they can do--even if in that infinite space of time all they can do is make peace with whatever god they worshiped. ]

And what about our lives?!

[Albel stared at her incredulously and enraged. This was a useless and unnecessary risk!]

These people are living their last seconds now. We still have to get back to the right time!

Ready to carry her off?

[ Finally, she had had enough. Growling, she got in his face and spoke in a low voice. ]

You don't get it, do you? These monsters only appeared after we did! As far as I'm concerned, that's not a coincidence! And even if it is, I'll be damned if I let a mistake somewhere prevent me from helping them.

[ Stepping away, she gives him a stern look. Right now, she can care less about her life; she's fighting to help others. ]

If you want to go, fine. I won't stop you. But unless you plan on moving me bodily from this spot, I'm staying put.

[ And she turns back, her katana at the ready. ]

Re...move...?

[This bitch was crazy. Albel stared at her, incredulous and angry. Okay, maybe it was true that the monsters arrived when the heroes did... But this city was destroyed years ago, it had been destroyed before they were sent back in time. It couldn't be their fault -- right?]

Fine! Be that way, see if I care, maggot!

[He turned and stalked off, seething. And when it began to eat at his gut that he'd left her there, and maybe he should have simply carried her off for her own good... That's when he began sprinting back to the temple, putting as much distance between him and that stupid girl before he could change his mind and go back for her.]

[ That's the trouble with Time Travel. Cause and effect are all screwed up, and while Sheena can't explain the theory behind her feelings, she just knew she was right.

And should have spoken up sooner. If she had... ]

I am! Like I said, it's the least I can do.

[ And she turned to take on the monsters, effectively dismissing him as she finished herding the people to where she hoped they would be safe. Once she was through, she herself headed towards the temple, taking out other monsters along the way. ]
