Where: Aqures Tosf.
When: Night of August 03rd, twenty-eight years in the past.
Summary: As the Heroes of Light were transported to the past, it is now the conclusion of their time travel adventure. It is the final night of the Festival of Light and the city is filled with visitors-- As such, it is estimated there are currently at least a few million people on the Island. Can they be saved?

The Temple of Fire

[The entrance to the Temple of Fire is a battlefield, with a fierce battle being waged between the soldiers of Aqures and the Monsters. There are by far more monsters in this place than in any others. The Knight of Aqures a few Heroes met a couple days ago can be seen killing a Malboro before going inside the Temple.

Inside of the temple, three different paths are offered to anyone deciding to venture in. Going to the left, the corridor has a sign indicating "Personnel Quarters". This path seems to lead to rooms and offices where the different scientists live and keep their personal affairs. Going to the right side on the other hand, the sign indicates "Laboratories" and leads to various laboratories where the scientists work.

Finally, the path in the middle indicates "Crystal Room."]

Team Ransack Palitutu's Office

[It's a hard decision to make with the townspeople in trouble, but Levy wants to get a look at Palitutu's research notes and some of the books she wasn't able to check out at the library. And with the chaos in the Temple and the city in general, now is probably the best chance to do it. Despite the relative physical weakness of her Jobs, with the aid of a few friends and her somewhat diminutive size she's able to make it through the wave of monsters at the entrance to the Temple.]

The offices are this way - let's go!

[Making a judgement call, Levy heads down the corridor marked 'Personnel Quarters.' There might be something to learn in the labs as well, but she's reasoning Palitutu's personal room is probably where she's keeping most of her more important books and notes. She seems like a private person, so it's a chance Levy is willing to take.]

(ooc: Since we've got seven people, I figure we can keep the tagging order a bit loose to accommodate the large group. Just try not to tag again until the other six people have done so, but within each 'round' of seven I don't think the exact order needs to matter much, if that makes sense.)

[A Teensie's strength lies in its small size, and Ales has an easy time dodging monsters and evading panicking townspeople. They're all going to die anyway; they can't change the past, but they can learn more about it. Kalki sent them back in time to figure out the truth, and they will take advantage of the opportunity.

Once inside, Ales pauses at the corridor crossways and removes the festival mask he had be disguising himself with for the past few days. As much as he's like to take that and the dark cloak off, he doesn't want to risk running into a straggling office worker and reveal his species.]

[He keeps the mask on his forehead. His vision isn't obstructed his way.]

[Tsubomi hates this. Powerless or not, a Pretty Cure has to defend the helpless, but her friends need help, too. There was too much at stake with what's inside the Temple of Fire and Levy needed all the help she can get.

Thankfully, she was small enough that monsters seemed to have ignored her as well, allowing her to slip in and join the others.]

T-Trying to keep up, Levy!

[Although Jade isn't in the best shape possible, he's right there in the middle of things. It's a shame about the citizens, but they have other priorities. He's staying in the middle of the group where he can easily cast spells if they run into trouble... though since he lacks the advantage of small size, he'll have to trust their heavy hitters to protect his back.]

Don't fall behind now! [He calls over his shoulder to the aforementioned heavy hitters. A little to cheerfully, as he tends to do.]

[Cloud moves to the side of the group as they move towards their goal, keeping towards the front while he can. The occasional monster tries to cut them off and they're met in kind with a savage blow from Cloud's shield delivered to their face.

Levy has promised him that these notes may hold the answers to some of the questions that have been plaguing him and both as an ally and as a fellow member of Fairy Tail he is intent on making sure she makes it through.]

Tsubomi! Grab onto me if you have to. I'll keep you covered.

Just as he struck his broadsword across the last of a pack of gargoyles, the momentum had turned Sephiroth to face the nearby entrance to the Temple of Fire. Just at the moment to see at least three smaller figures, alongside two familiar faces who had managed to get through and into the building itself. They must be absolutely crazy --given the density of the monsters outside it must be seething in there-- and those two in particular he thought knew a lot better than to be so reckless.

They knew that it was going to eventually explode from there, right?

Sephiroth comes up behind Jade, two-handedly wielding his broadsword and cutting down two goblins that had been foolish enough to give chase. He grunts at Jade as he finally catches up; the sprint he'd just made to get from outside into the corridor obvious in his bearing.]

Speak for yourself.

[Quickly he takes a head count as they continue on.]

[Alice came in with Levy and is walking beside the other girl glancing at the name plates on each door they pass. It doesn't seem like they'll have a lot of time, so the faster they get this done, the better.

After passing a frustrating number of hallways and doors, she spots one at the end of the hall. Professor Palitutu. She calls over to Levy and the others.]

Hey! I think this is it....

Yeah! The answers we need should be in here. Everyone get ready. Find out anything you can about Professor Palitutu and the research she's doing here.

[And with that, Levy opens the door.]

[Ales is the first to squeeze through the crack, tossing his mask and cloak aside. They make running around difficult.

He locates the nearest shelf and scampers over there, climbs onto the lowest shelf, and begins combing through files and books.]

[Ultimately, Tsubomi had to grab onto Cloud to keep up. She certainly missed her powers now. Once they reached the office, first things first:]

Thank you, Cloud...!

[A quick bow in response before she joined Ales in investigating, heading for another desk and looking at various papers. Maybe she should try to take a computer, too?]

[It doesn't take long for Yuna to realize that something is wrong. She is late when she arrives at the Temple, having fought many monsters on her way here. She's tired and sore but she keeps going.

She knows that everyone is scattered and the chaos is making people frantic. So she's trying to keep a level head. She knows this place from when she visited with Ramza and Ashelia, though it was ruins then. She pulls the map from her memories heading towards the Personnel Quarters to see if she can find some clue that might help them in the future.

By her logic they will either die here or be sent back so Yuna wants to do what she can to gather more information and it's probably best to go towards the places less likely to be checked. She just hopes no one is back here and those in the Temple have thought to escape.]

Is anyone else back here?

"I don't hear anyone!" Allenby responds, which is probably drowning out the sounds of any possible footsteps in that brief moment of shouting. She hadn't been here before and was simply supporting her friend, leaving her and a lightweight treasure chest to guard the door.

"Sit." she commands the box as she turns inside. "So what are we after? Anything I should try and snatch up and stuff inside Locker's mouth?" It was more or less a joke to which the monster slams it's lid for... it didn't think that was funny.

[Yuna laughs softly looking through the area as if expecting to find something. There are beds and basic things but she wants to find more. She wants to find something that might help them.]

I don't know. I assumed we'd know it when we saw it.

[Which is more or less how Yuna usually operates.]

"Well... paperwork is usually the most incriminating. Anything that doesn't look hand-written." She thinks about that for a moment.

"Everything here is probably hand written. Well... I guess just snatch and grab on papers? I can't think of anything else that would really help us." Neither girl knew exactly what to look for but... better than just fumbling for nick-knacks and trinkets...

We'll figure it out.

[She's planning to quickly move through each room. She knows where she used to hide things when she shared a sleeping space with 6 others. So she looks there first and then in more obscure places for anything that might be hidden.]

[Nanami tore down the corridor towards the labs. Someone would cover the offices and quarters, but surely the scientists would keep some sort of clues in the area they worked.]

Come on. You weren't doing this because you thought it would be fun to ruin everyone's lives...
