His eyes flicker over Johnny's face, checking how serious his gaze is, pointedly hesitating when he looks at Johnny's lips again, gives an extra breath out.

Jack's grin matches Johnny's own as he leans in a second time, more private this time when they're both sitting down. But he pauses, an inch away, eyes still open in a challenge, teasing, testing, waiting for Johnny to take that last claim for himself.
