The look of sheer confusion Sayaka is receiving shifts to surprise when the sword is drawn. An echo of what might be hurt shimmers in red eyes, before they grow hard. The initial reactions easily forgotten as the girl behind them begins acting nonplussed.
"Yo, have you gone completely off the rails?"
What...the hell was this frazzled blue headed spaz going off about? Suddenly getting mad about the everyday jesting? ...bringing Mami-san up out of nowhere like that. Acting like Kyoko had been bad mouthing her?!
Come to think of it...Homura had asked her if she'd teamed up with Mami-san. As if she'd already known, and the girl had an awful lot of strange knowledge about shit. That had to be it, it was the only thing that made sense. For what ever rhyme or reason that girl must have had her own agenda. The stoic magical girl likely spread shit, as if Kyoko would have bad mouthed her own Senpai! It would cause tension between her and Sayaka though, the latter being so fiercely loyal. Then the purple bitch could team up with Sayaka to run her out of town once the two of them defeated Walpurgisnacht. And then probably just off Sayaka herself and keep the territory.
Fuck! This is why she worked alone.
Stabbing the ramen with her chopsticks, she begins punishing the noodles -- scarfing them down as if they wronged her. Leaving the paladin simply idling with her weapon out, as though there was nothing to fear from the deadly blade. Even less so the girl wielding it.
"Am I supposed to be afraid?" Soon emptied, the bowl gets placed on the wall, the chopsticks crisscross atop it. "You couldn't hit the side of a house with your skills. You still mad about our little fight? Man, you just don't know how to let stupid shit go do ya." Alright...she'd let Sayaka get some of that anger out -- it would be good anyway, to help the rookie start to hone some of those skills. If she was going to keep insisting on fighting, Kyoko would make sure she got good at it. With that stubbornness and bravery Kyoko knew the hero would make a kick ass magical girl -- heh, even if she was clumsy as fuck.
After they'd cooled off she would explain things.
Knowing the girl she'd hoped would one day see her had just believed she'd been awful, seeing that blade drawn from the one person in the world the redhead felt she could have her guard down next to...that stung. Even if she could understand why anyone in their right mind would believe the worst in her.
Moving to her feet, Kyoko summons her spear, locking eyes with a look devoid of emotion. "Come at me then. Don't be a little bitch about it."
