It's finally here. The night that will either springboard new relationships, kill wallets, or maybe both at the same time. Even though Saori maybe still be a bit salty at Brigid for signing her up to her crazy idea, she had to give the Moogle some credit. The enthusiastic fuzz ball of a shipper on deck managed to get a good chunk of both Heroes and Moogles rather hyped about this date auction. Not to mention quite handful of them were all to happy to help with preparations.

[D lifted his head to take stare at the man again. Was he alright? The man's aura shifted to a wave of heat that niggled against D's own cold aura. It bothered the vampire, but D was no longer playing, himself. He stood up to his own 6'3" height.]

2450.

[Terra is now looking at her fingers which were intertwined in her lap. She doesn't really care about the amount but the amount of times they were going back and forth were causing her distress.

Her cheeks were flushed a bright hue and she started to count up from one to calm her nerves.]

[Upon noticing the uneasy shift of Terra's aura, D instantly turns his attention to her instead of the silver haired man. She was upset. Something he didn't want to do. Hell, he didn't want to make a woman cry. He sat down and bored his head in apologies.]

It was never my intention to upset you, Miss Terra. I apologize for that.

[Terra shakes her head, quickly trying to steel herself.]

No, it's alright. I'm just surprised.

[She smiles slightly, her cheeks still red.]

I'm honored that you'd bid on me.

[Hearing Terra, D smiles.] You are a very nice lady and I want to get to know you.

[She isn't going to stop blushing.]

Ah... Thank you.

[Terra has no idea what to say to that but it would be nice to talk to D some more. Their first two meetings had been brief and she really didn't feel like she helped when she first ran into him.]

[D found himself looking Sephiroth directly in the eye at that height. The shimmer of a green fire of something not entirely friendly shone between narrowed eyes, glinting out from between thick black eyelashes.

But before Sephiroth could raise the bid again, attention is drawn to Terra. Dumbstruck he watches between the two of them, something else quite alien burning from the inside of the anger that had been sparked. Suddenly he feels sick in the root of his stomach, and the pressing weight of the fact it couldn't get any more public than this drags it's claws along the back of that uneasy feeling.

In the wake of the words spoken his eyes immediately drop to the floor. A beat later and he's making determined steps toward the door. Air, he just needs some fresh air for a moment]

[D watched as the silver haired man walk out of room and turned to look back at Terra.

This will make things awkward back at Esdham.]

[She isn't sure what to do when Sephiroth walks from the auction. She feels the need to follow but she was told to remain on the stage until the bid is over.

Her eyes follow him, her expression as calm as she can manage.]

[Watching her watch the man leave seemed to click in D's mind. That was why... He looks at Terra.]

I'll rescind my bid if you want.

[greenmagick]

[Terra shakes her head.]

It's fine. Thank you.

[She smiles softly showing ever bid of confidence.]

[Shaking his head, D leans back in his chair and crosses arms over his chest. His face is once again a neutral mask with a thousand questions running through.]
