[01] || [Lorulean Sickness] || [Closed]
Characters: Hilda and Ravio
Where: Aqures Ixen, House A-07
When: Forward dated to the 22nd October.
Summary: Hilda regained her powers and became sick. Now her state is deteriorating very quickly and she may risk death-- But if it may help a certain pink rabbit to become a hero, that's worth the risk.
Warning: Sick people.
Getting back her real powers had been an excellent thing. Where everyone else saw a strange and unexpected thing, she only saw something positive. In spite of renewed efforts, she had never managed to get used to her brand new powers. These Jobs were unpractical and uncomfortable, whereas her real powers were both much more comfortable and practical. She could teleport around, create barriers, seal monsters away-- With this, maybe she could finally get to do something useful and productive in this world, take a step forward to find a way and go back to Lorule.
What hadn't been an excellent thing was falling sick at the same time. It had been nothing more than a cold at first, one that should have been gone away after a day or two, especially with white mages taking care of her. Yet after a few days she had felt even worse, and by now she was literally bedridden. So much for being able to teleport around but not having enough strength left to use her powers. No matter what spells or medicine were used, this flu just didn't go away-- And after a week, it still worsened rather than slowly getting better.
Thankfully, she wasn't alone as herbrave cowardly hero merchant was with her. Not that she wanted him to see her that sick, but he was the only person she could rely on for now. And maybe to see her endangered would help his heroic instinct to come to the surface. Mogrule was near Hilda, putting the daily stack of letters on her bedside table before flying out of the room to find Ravio "Kupo... Ravio? I think the princess may need you, Kupo."

Ravio still doesn't like you
A look of concern washed over his face when Mogrule sought him out. Sure, he was already concerned, but having a moogle tell him his princess needed him, well it was as if things had become desperate. Despite his emotional influence, Ravio could still act rationally. Because of this, he of course returned to Hilda.
"Your Highness..." He hesitated before entering. Ravio hadn't located the source of this illness, thus was unable to cure it appropriately, but he couldn't leave her be either. Surely others had to have been looking for an answer too. "What is it?"
That's so rude he should be ashamed
"Ravio..." She looked as serious as always, if only tired this time due to the illness, but she extended her hand out to him. By now, it was obvious she wasn't contagious at the very least, so she had something very important to ask. "... If something were to happen to me, you would take care of Lorule in my place, right?"
Got to make sure in case the worst happens. He wasn't a part of the royal family or anything, but if she were to die, the royal family would with her and he would be the only one she could imagine trusting with the task of protecting Lorule. Especially in her current state.
*You* should be ashamed. He insists.
Ravio met her reach as he wrapped his hands around her one. This was not a discussion he wished to have. His jaw clenched momentarily. Not even he knew if he would be able to take up this responsibility. "Your Highness, I..."
He paused. "I'm not sure I could." Perhaps he had what it took. It was a lot to take on, but what would he tell her people?
How rood
"You can." There wasn't a hint of doubt in her voice as she spoke the words; tiredness if anything, but she did her best to sound confident. "You would probably do a better work than I... And our people would actually like you..."
her smile faded. After all, if he had been in charge he would never have given in to Yuga's idea. Not that she would ever allow herself to think in such ways normally, but given she might as well be death in a few days, well... It was something she had to think of. And it was better to think about this than thinking about what awaited her.
You're rood.
"You shouldn't say such things, Your Highness. The people of Lorule were backed into a corner." Lorule's decline was before her reign as leader, she had no business blaming herself for the poverty that struck. "And not only that, but Lorule was restored to its former glory!" He mentioned this because he wanted to give her hope, and another reason to fight.
"You have to remain strong, if not for our land..." He paused. "but for me." It was faint, but it needed to be said.

"I wish I could have seen it..." She had never seen Lorule being restored to its former glory after all, all she had was Ravio's word. And even though she did trust his word, it was a bit hard to believe, not matter how she wanted it to be true. But as it looked as though she was going to doze off, what he said managed to keep her awake.
"... You will do just fine without me. But... I promise to try."

"Princess, you will see it." He couldn't promise such a view, but he wanted to keep a positive outlook.
