Into the Chaos of Vampires and Ghosts || OPEN
WHO: D, OPEN
WHAT: After return from Esdham, D has been trying out the Ghostbuster Job in connection with the Vampire Job.
WHEN: October 11th - 30th (save for the event days. He'll be unavailable.)
WHERE: Aqures Ixen; neighboring areas
NOTES: D will be hunting and collecting ghosts pretty much nonstop and using this as a good training session for his other Job. The Vampire seems tireless, but the late he is encountered, the closer to his bloodlust he is. The more monstrous he appears. Well build CR with him (OOC: I'm steadily working on a CR post)
WARNING: Violence. Possibly gore.
Scenario One: Early on as he wanders the streets
[The streets were filled with long cast shadows from the behemoth monoliths erected in Aqures Ixen. Without his Dragoon Job, D had to be more careful about his jumping and springing. He found he could still do some because of his previous training in his own world, an asked skill hard to forget, but his body felt heavier. And protested just a bit more.
Still, D straddled two roofs while waiting for his quarry to enter into his trap. When he activated this job, he forsook the ridiculous jumpsuit for his regular tight fitting clothing, cloak and hat. His sword balanced between his shoulderblades in wait.
The night fueled through his veins, his eyes catching every slight movement: a stay cat rooted in a nearby dumpster hoping for scraps from the restaurant; some couple clung to each other after a dinner date, the pungent smell of lust permeated around them like a cloud; and... Yes the ghost was stalking them. Perfect.
The ghost's hopeful meal would be interrupted.
Utilizing his balancing skills, D slid asking the tiles of the roof to its end where he jumped down to the ground of an alleyway with an opening right next to the couple. The combination of his Vampire Job and Ghostbuster Job served him well to keep deathly silent and cast neither shadow nor reflection.
His PKE machine hummed and he grabbed the thruster. His fingers glided along and a shudder released from inside him feeling the essence of the already captured spirits crying out. For a moment, he almost felt sorry for them. Almost.
D waited for the couple to pass him by. They didn't detect him but the scents enveloped him. He stopped dead in his tracks, his nostrils flared and he growled, his fangs descending. That caught the couple's attention. His want for their thick blood tormented him but he managed to speak in a gutteral tone.]
Run. Get out of here. [Before I eat you both. He thought to himself.
Thankfully, they wasted no time and with their retreat he came face to face with the ghost. It howled at D knowing that its conquest had been interrupted. D flashed his fangs at the creature and turned on the thruster. The more powerless spirit couldn't resist the PKE and when it sucked up, he glanced down at the meter.]
Burn in the abyss of oblivion with your friends.
[Turn he turns to find his next quarry, wherever the meter takes him.]
Scenario Two: Somewhere in the middle, hunting in the forested areas
[D has been collecting many spirits and fending of his growing hunger. Not wanting to feast on the humans he's trying to protect, he takes to the forest.
Upon encountering him, people that know him sense the imbalance growing in his usually cool state of being. Not only is he not catching the ghosts automatically, he's playing with them like a cat might a mouse. Yet, he's still in enough control to capture them in the end. He still has more control over himself.
To those who don't know him might notice how dangerous yet effective this particular Hero of Light is. He seems to be enjoying this game of cat and mouse. And he still is willing to help.]
Scenario Three: Back in Aqures Ixen towards the end of the month
[D is more vampiric than human in appearance. Still in a semblance of his own control, he's moving against ghosts and nipping at animals in the alleyways. He's more annoyed and his aura is dark. Tired? Healthy? These questions cannot be really answered. Something about these ghosts might be doing something to his psyche. Or maybe they remind him of things...]

His eyes rolled to the spot where his mother over stood and good uninjured hand traced the trap where the Shifter now resided. Honestly, he wanted nothing more than to rid of completely from this world but it could prove useful in the future.
His fangs slowly dislodge from his lips, leaving puncture wounds that were healing almost immediately.]
Thank you...
no subject
No thanks, sides you did the hard part.
[The ninja rocks back on her heels when she finishes.]
And Rukia's right.
[Yuffie doesn't have much more to add on the matter. She doesn't see anything wrong with having emotions or getting upset. Maybe she has one thing to add.]
Okay, so I've been saying this a lot lately but if you're angry then get angry. If your sad then be sad. It's okay to feel stuff.
no subject
Agreed. Do you need to rest?
[It seems like he's pushing himself a little harder than usual.
Rukia you hypocrite.]no subject
Rukia asked him if he needed a rest. He wasn't sure. Sighing, D turned to the two women.]
I never wanted her to be used against me... Again. Yet, her face was better than my father's.
[D honestly didn't know if anyone could save him if he met his father in the alleyway this night.]
no subject
I can go... if you want...
[She doesn't want to go, she's curious and maybe a little worried. Not that Yuffie openly states how much she really cares for those lucky enough to receive the title of friend.]
If it helps...
no subject
No. There is no reason for you to leave. Why would you think otherwise?
no subject
[Rukia explains it to D, but looks at Yuffie. Perhaps this girl is more thoughtful than she realized.]
But so long as you wish for our company, you shall have it.
no subject
I cannot be alone right now, please. I would like both of you here not to be with me but to protect each other from me should I lose control again.
[They needed to know how unstable he was right now. He wasn't sure that he would fall back into a state and attack either of them. Somehow blur the boundaries between friend and foe.]
no subject
[It's as simple as that. She isn't trying to be all that considerate or anything... That's not Yuffie's thing.
She also doesn't think they should just wait for D to loose control but every idea that she thinks of sounds really dumb in her head.]
no subject
Any suggestions on what we should do? I'm open to distractions.
[Anything to keep him on this plane of reality.]
no subject
Er...we could...
[...That's really all she's got? She can do better than that.]
How did your date go?
[Sorry. It's all she can conjure up. Telling stories is distracting, right?]
no subject
What?! I mean, we could throw rocks at buildings or go looking for something to eat or you know, build a pillow fort but that's what you choose to ask.
[Not that she's really opposed to talking about the date but it isn't as if anything interesting happened. Sides Yuffie thoroughly embarrassing herself with weird questions.]
no subject
[His body was recovering from the shaking and his mind was clearing. Besides, if he didn't do something, they might start asking him questions he didn't want to answer.
Even as he gave the statement, deliberately ignoring Rukia's question, D began walking out of the alleyway.]
no subject
[Rukia looks between the two. She hadn't thought the question would be a big deal. But that's because it just isn't a big deal to her. At least she was distracting?
Unintentionally.]If you are up to the task, I should like to seek more spirits as well!
no subject
[D mumbled as he walked out of the alleyway searching his PKE meter for another nearby ghost.
no subject
Wow that sounds familiar.]
You have to forgive yourself first.
[She glances back at Rukia with a smile.]
If we find a ghost pup can I keep it and name it Fred?
no subject
[At least Yuffie's here to keep the mood light.]
Would you not rather have a living puppy? Ghosts are difficult to pet.
[She would know.]
no subject
If we find a ghost pup it's all yours.
no subject
[She lightly bumps D's arm looking up at him with a cocky/confident smile.]
The challenge just makes it more fun.
[Her smile widens.]
no subject
[His eyes softened at Yuffie's enthusiasm. Glancing down at his meter he saw a rise.]
Got one. [And he began to follow it.]
