Worst family field trip ever
Who: Luke, Jade, and Anise
What: Ghost hunting & friendly monster
Where: Aqures Ixen
When: Night of October 17th
Warnings: Mentions of blood and death.
The ghost sightings hadn't shown any sign of dying down even after a week of hunting. Jade hadn't had time to return to Esdham in quite a while; there was always someone begging to have their home exorcised and not enough Heroes to handle them all.
This time Jade had been asked to clear out a warehouse near the city's border. Judging from what he had been told, he'd been right not to go alone.
"It seems out ghost friend has caused casualties. Four workers reportedly went in the building last night. Only one body was found... in a rather worrying condition." Jade led the way to the warehouse, where a nervous group was Engineers was waiting to open the door for them. It was clear none of them wanted to be here. "Needless to say, no one has been eager to go look for the rest."
While the head engineer proceeded to unlock the door with shaking hands, Jade looked over his shoulder at Luke and Anise. "Are you two ready?"

no subject
Anise's confident demeanor stood in stark contrast to that of the warehouse workers. After all, what did she have to be afraid of?
Sure, they didn't know what they were up against. And the ghost had probably already killed four people. This wasn't even mentioning that they were still all getting used to their new jobs, which meant any number of things could go wrong.
Maybe there was a lot to be afraid of. And maybe Anise was a little afraid, even if she hadn't yet (and didn't plan to) mention it to either of the people she was with.
Still, she was able to keep her confident demeanor all the same. She was with two pretty competent people, and after doing nothing for a month while stuck in stasis, it was nice to finally be able to do something.
